Won't it be a better idea to sell it overseas then? (If there are takers)

BTW, I did an inquiry (for my acquaintance, after price cut) and am yet to get a call back.

Re: Suzuki Inazuma 250cc launched. *UPDATE* Price slashed by 1 lakh!

Financially not viable to take goods once imported (and 'value added' to) out of the country.
When I said 'forget about it', I meant India, not globally.

Similar case: hybrids imported into India.

Da, I too meant overseas market as the market here isn't as matured to go for a product like Inazuma.

Market for me would be relax, enthusiastic commuters riding a Karizma, Unicorn etc.

I hope not, and if they do they will loose the trust and will face similar fate as Fiat did. Instead i feel Suzuki has just corrected themselves and this can be a great turning point. i am one of those who is slowly leaning towards this product

Re: Suzuki Inazuma 250cc launched. *UPDATE* Price slashed by 1 lakh!

I too had enquired about the Inazuma on their website and never got a call from them. I wanted to find out whether they can sell/service the Inazuma in Cochin, also wanted to get an idea on the OTR, if available. Wanted a test drive, if the bike was available.

Did the same on the RE website and got a call back next day 9am. I am impressed with the way the RE showroom responded. Taking a test drive tomorrow, kudos to RE so far.

Suzuki India - Inazuma out of market?

Looks like Suzuki India took Inazuma out of market. Not listed in their website. Could someone with credible information confirm?

Sad.

Re: Suzuki Inazuma 250cc launched. *UPDATE* Price slashed by 1 lakh!

Suzuki dealership in Manesar said this bike' stock is over and it is discontinued. He said it took him a week to check stocks everywhere but it is not available anymore.

It's a small dealership but as this is in vicinity of Suzuki Bike Manufacturing Unit, he should have had provided credible information. Can anyone confirm this?

Re: Suzuki Inazuma 250cc launched. *UPDATE* Price slashed by 1 lakh!

This has all the familiar symptoms of an abandonment. Even if the bike is available somewhere now, the probability of there being next to no service support a year from now is uncomfortably high.

Pity. It is a pretty nice bike, if a little tame.

Discontinued? this is sad, Suzuki seems to be happy selling scooters and mopeds!

Anyways when i called Mangalore dealer i was told they dont sell the big bikes, i called a dealership in Bangalore and they said it was available, OTR is 2.48 and waiting period is about 10days.

Even my dealer had said that it was available initially. I asked him to provide detailed breakup for price and service cost details and then after one week he said that the Bike is discontinued.

It is not available on Suzuki website too, although direct link to the page is working. I have worked on ASP.NET websites extensively and this is an admin job and is unlikely to be a glitch as per some speculations.

IMO, one should avoid buying it for now. Even if some dealers may have stock, this thing's gonna go.

Looks like the bike is indeed discontinued. This page now takes you to an error page:

Re: Suzuki Inazuma 250cc launched. *UPDATE* Price slashed by 1 lakh!

Wow. If it gets discontinued, I may not consider Suzuki again in future. The GS150R was already plagued by no marketing initiative from Suzuki, and yet it continued to sell in small numbers to people who could see its worth. Inazuma too is surely a capable bike. But absolutely no ads and zero initiative of Suzuki (except realizing their greed and reducing a 1L profit from the bike after being a dud) has resulted in this unfortunate situation.

When it comes to 2.4L, I would rather adjust and find some product with good parent backing, rather than getting a good product and then finding myself in a limbo with no support from the company.

All the best with your Access and Swish and Hayate, Suzuki.

To me, Suzuki seems to be damn serious about India. Gixxer with full fairing is up next.
