Get in touch with a Radium Stickering guy, the guys who make your number plates and stuff. These guys should have the RE Canon, which can be computer cut on a radium sheet. These days, Radium Stickers aren't Hand Cut anymore, they are Computer Cut and have details to the T.

I also thought of getting my helmet done this way but Desert storm color is not available so have to settle with just putting a RE sticker

Hope you were able to get the RE sticker and customized your helmet? Would like to see the pictures soon.

1000kms Update in little over 2 months

Last Sunday ( March 4th), the bulleteers group of Hyderabad known as " Wanderers" rode to a place called Medak which is 100kms away from the city to a secret lake which was known to one of the Wanderers.

There were a total of 13 BULLS during the ride and we had a fantastic time riding together.

We met at 6:30AM and stopped at a small resturant on the highway for breakfast consisting of hot Idli, Vada and Dosas.

The rides were a mixture of Classic, Thunderbirds, Electras and Standards

Roads were butter smooth with either greenry or forest on either side with many winding twisties and turns not exactly like a ghat section but, nonetheless pleasurable to ride on those turns

For the first time, i enjoyed touching 100kmph on Maroon Marauder and felt the bike to be very stable with absolutely no handlebar vibration or anything at all and the way it reaches this speed is the best part. I couldnt take the speeds further as i was wearing a half faced helmet which is not conducive for high speeds and lot of wind-noise makes you feel uncomfortable.

I plan to buy a full-face helmet over the weekend which will be used for highway rides.

Once we reached the destination, we had to trek through some fields to reach the secret lake and I tried my hand at angling and we caught a lot of decently sized fishes and your jaw will drop to know the price we paid for them ( since we were using some fishermen's equipment)

Overall, it was a fun ride of 200kms+ with 13 other liked minded BULL riders to that lovely lake. Icing on the cake was to learn how to fish

P.S: Please do keep checking this thread. Pictures and Videos of that ride will come up soon. Pretty tied up at work !!!

Great place to visit for a ride and equally good pics. Sorry for missing this time. Please let me know before the next one.

Is there a way to register with them to get these informations automatically?

Hi Avinash,

Its been really interesting to read both your Cruze and CL500 thread. Even though coming in late - Congratulations on owning the best of both!

I'm awaiting delivery of my CL500 within the next week or so, just holding on patiently!

I've also opted for the loan from HDFC and here is what I was told:

1. After the bike is allotted from the next arriving stock, Insurance and NOC will be given to HDFC bank to release the cheque to the dealer.
2. HDFC bank will take 3-4 working days to release the cheque to the dealer.
3. Post that the dealer will get the bike registered.

Overall I was told it will take about 5-6 working days to get my vehicle after it has been allotted.

However as per your post it seemed to have hardly taken a day to confirm delivery (Dec 22 loan processed and Dec 23 vehicle ready for delivery) Would you please mind clarifying as you've mentioned about having taken the loan option as well.

Thanks,
Si1ver0ne

Thanks for the appreciation. And, congratulations for soon-to-be-owner of CL-500

Well, with regards to HDFC loan process. I know everyone out there ( besides my wife working there) and my personal banker is truly a wonderful lady who enables my requests at super fast speeds.

I made the request to her and within few minutes I get a call from 2-wheeler loan officer. He comes over to my place in an hour and I had the usual documents ready and I told him bike is ready for delivery so need the confirmation ASAP

He logged in my application by EOD and he told me will confirm by next morning of its approval.

Since I have quite a few products from HDFC bank, I received a call from him next day afternoon sayings its approved.

Raghu, Sales Advisor from RE called me and said I can collect the bike the same evening even though they havent received the check as for them a confirmation that loan is approved is enough and they know their money wont go anywhere. Essentially, my loan was processed in 24 hours flat

However, since i wanted to pick up the bike on an auspicious day outlined by my mom, picked it up on Dec 26th

Bottomline: If you have a good relationship, anything can happen

Hi mobike008,

I have put up a few pictures of my helmet in the following thread. Do have a look into it and if you like it, I can get you the contacts at Vega Belgaum who will send the product to their dealer at Hyd.

Thanks for sharing the pictures of your helmet. It looks nice.

Is it comfortable to wear? Are there are sizes in same model?

I am told there is only 1 size for all the boolean model. I would suggest you go to any helmet store and try any boolean helmet. If that fits you good then you can safely order this model if you like the chrome.

Update

Last saturday ( March 17), post a call from the service center dropped the Maroon Marauder for a change to bend-pipe which as outlined in my previous post had turned golden in the initial days.

This change along with a nice water-wash was done FREE of cost

March 25th seems to be an exciting day for Maroon Marauder.

Wanderers are doing a ride meet on sunday and 25+ BULLs are expected for this ride. It will be one LOUD ride meet

Please do check this thread for updates of this ride with pictures and videos on Monday/Tuesday

re: RE Classic Chrome 500 (9500kms Done):The "Maroon Marauder" THUMP's home!!

During the last ride I faced some difficulty with an open face helmet as that day it was too windy and lot of dust went into my eye making it uncomfortable to ride beyond 90kmph.

Therefore, decided to get a full face helmet that will not only will eradicate above issue but, is much stronger in build quality and perhaps looks nicer than my previous customized helmet

Make and Model : Vega Boolean

Price : Rs. 2400

Features :

a) Visor lock and unlock button in front
b) Slider button on side of helmet to roll-down a dark glass visor if it gets too sunny
c) Front face lifts up if you need fresh air while riding
d) Small air-vents that opens for letting in fresh air

It will be thoroughly tested in tomorrow's ride where I will be riding for ~ 200kms with some 25 other bulleeters for company
