Re: Honda CBR 250R Review

Finally after 43K+ Kms, the left leg of the front suspension gives up it's oil seal; I was expecting this to happen from 19K+ Km for the kind of tortures it was undergoing. Good that it withstood until now

This was the color of fork oil; for people who don't know the original color, a fresh fork oil in the can is always transparent in color

This was also the opportunity I took to replace the dampers at the rear wheels

Do mention the associated costs aargee. This will help potential owners budget their repair expenditures.

Don't remember it Adi; all these costs were tracked on my phone, but I lost it about 2 weeks ago :(

But the costs were way too affordable; even an accidental repair that involves in replacing the fairing, headlight, mirror, turn lights etc costs less than 8K

Man, that's really reasonable. One piece of the ninja's side fairing costs a little over 15k.

Shocking? Why? That's the difference between Made in India & Made in Thailand (ofcourse with FTA, it obviously should cost less, but then it's understandable on accounts of shipping costs probably). But then, if one has 0% insurance, there's nothing to worry isn't it? Ofcourse, service charges are not covered, but, it's ok.

The most expensive part of CBR 250R is...IGNITION key set; costs about 14K+tax about 8 months ago, not sure now. Fairings costs around Rs 1000. So whenever there's a a irreplacable scratch mark, I change the fairing hehe

And if one has 0% depreciation insurance, even this is covered for free for 1st 5 years. The turn lights used to cost Rs 250, not sure how much they're now. The most ridiculous (and I feel very pity) is the labor for oil change. They used to charge me Rs 35 (since I'm changing them now, I don't know how much it is now).

And I think the alloy wheels were costing some 4K or so; I even changed my seats as they costed some 300-400 just because the seats developed wrinkles

Got the servicing cost sirje?

Probably strays who chase cats - who in turn find my bike seats cosy perches.
