Come on man.. lawn mowers are 2 stroke engines mostly.... mine is a water pump

Yes it is. And according to that article it's a 100% ester based oil. It's as good as it gets.

I suggest you read that article. It's a good source of information regarding oils. Most of the basic gyan holds good for cars too.

Jaggu, actually i had posted this before you replied. Anyways one more question. Can flush be used for 2 wheelers as well and which is the best oil for a 4 stroke bike. I use castrol power one. Good enough?

Careful while using flush for 4 stroke 2 wheeler coz the clutch also lives in this oil, can lead to slippage and other pain. Best is to use good oils like castrol and change every 1500-2000 kms. Worth the 100 odd bucks.

The Magnatec in my CNG XETA, hardly changed colour from when it was poured in 6000 KM back.

I first replaced the Engine Oil from Mobil Mineral OEM TATA to Castrol Magnatec at 10,000 KM and been following it. ( First Oil Change-First STP Flush)

The Second replacement was dirty, at that time the CNG system was going an upgrade and Most XETA's had Black Smoke and Unburnt residue issue on the plugs. So 20,000 KM oil was dark brown. ( Second Oil Change-Second STP Flush)

The Third will come up soon-As said, I keep checking the Oil level on the dip stick and also the engine Oil cover on the head, Hardly find a deep change in the colour, Maybe from Golden Yellow to Mild Tobacco Yellow.

I changed the oil in my MPFI esteem from mineral to Mobil 1 synthetic.
Was running for 3K kms and then gave it to a Maruti workshop for servicing.
the workshop guy noticed a drop of nearly 1 litre of oil in the car and he topped it up with 1 litre of mineral oil ( which he should have asked me but didnt )

Will there be any problems in running. Would i need to flush it completely and fill it up fresh?

Joe,

Any mixing whether in Oil or in Drinks shouldn't be done. After saying thus would it affect you car performance - it may not for a short duration usage. Hence you need not flush it but just drain it and change the oil back to Synthetic.

Also you may check out why there is a 1L decrease in the level of Oil. Has engine started consuming more oil (This is a clear sign of problems in the engine).

Joe first check for any leaks and see if there is something wrong with the engine that its consuming oil.

Once this is cleared, drain the oil. Replace the oil filter and fill fresh oil and ensure the level is correct.

How much has your car run till date?
