re: Power Horns!

i personally think nobody should use too loud horns , its too irritating and could damage your ears, you will know what i mean if you are on a bike and get stuck in front of a truck or a bus with air horn.you can really say good bye to your ears.

What do the Stebel horns sound like?
I have Stebel Nautilus installed in my i20. I have had it placed inside the bonnet so it does not deafen up people ahead and at the same time provides the necessary effect. I am not a compulsive honker anyways.

STEBEL S.p.A. - horns

Check the site, you can actually test each horn as to what it sounds like.

Upgrading my horn from the Stebel Nauitilus horns which has run for a good two years to PIAA- Slender HO 12 dual tone (400+500Hz). Claimed to be worlds thinnest power sports horns.

Do you have any contacts/friends in Bangalore? They could pick it up for you from any auto accessory store in Bangalore. I bought mine at Auto Shop Koramangala.

sorry for the late reply..
Stebel produces the typical merc/skoda sound.
The Red grills produce a rather unique tone which is tough to describe(But Pretty loud IMO).

They do consume a lot of power hence a relay is advised.
The other day I noticed my High beam fade a bit when i Tried Honking.

Good horn for a K10

I'm looking for a good horn for my Alto K10. The OE horn is too feeble. Any suggestions?

The MASS folks were suggesting a Bosch one that costs ~Rs 1500/-. Aren't there cheaper ones from Bosch?

re: Power Horns!

I got Minda power horns (likes of roots windtone) for my i10 sportz at Rs. 600/ from my regular accessory guy in Pune. Working well since 7-8 months now. No problem at all.

CBlazer, why don't you try the Hella Compact horns? I recently bought them for my M800. Cost me only 400 bucks. These are the OEM horns for AHNC. Sounds good, bit of a devilish sound .

re: Power Horns!

Guys - I fit hella redgrill supertones over the weekend on my swift at Reliance autozone. The guys over there insisted that I do not need a relay since swift comes with 2 horns. While the horn seems to work fine, is this ok or will there be any problem?

Thanks.
