I'am planning to install Philips crystal vision ( H1 & H7). In the process do i need to install a relay?
Appreciate you help.

Hey I had the crystal vision for some time on my car but to tell you the fact these bulbs look good from the outside but don't light up the road as good as the 90/100.

The best place to get your lights focussed is at the company service centre.I am sure they will have the instruments & they'll do the job right.

Yehagree: , even i have installed Philips diamond vision in my SX4. Though it appears good from outside but the output of the light is not that powerful. My fog is more brighter than my headlight. I am planning to go to 100/90W on my next service.

The phillips 90/100 are the best halogen bulbs you can find in the Indian market.

There is no "One size fits all".
If you do not want to go for relay and modify wiring etc., the Osram Silverstar +50% are among the best
In the 100/90 section, the Halonix +60 are really good, as good as Philips 130/110W(Have them as right headlight, and the philips in the left headlight).

Depending upon headlight design, a certain bulb may give better throw than another brand. So its always best to try a few different brands and then buy the one which is the best fit for your car.

So there is no blanket thing like "XYZ brand is the best"

Thanks alot for the details, I'll check out the halonix +60.

yep I have tried both Osram & Philips 100\90 & I didnt notice any drastic difference.

Can somebody please tell me where I can buy the halonix +60 & how much it would cost me.please:

hi suman and all other Dicor Owners

i have tried Osram Silverstart 50+ in place of the stock Philips H4 bulbs in headlight

and the difference is noticeable and i believe there is at least 30+ % increase in light and i'm happy about it

throw and spread is better and all u need is to fit the tube and adjust the throw as per need

no relay/cutout is needed as the bulbs is 60/55

and it retails between 300Rs-350Rs for pair depending on the stockist.

hope it helps

Hello Friend,
I have heard that the Philips Xtreme is better than Osram. Does it belongs on the reflectors or the solely on the bulbs itself.
Even on the forrum I drew an conculsion that Philips outdo Osram. Can you have some pic of the throw of the bulbs. Thanks.

Hi Dinoo, I use the Xtreme power bulbs from Philips and can vouch they are at least 40% better than stock OEM bulbs. The spread is much wider, throw is much longer. But its not yet freely available in India and costs close to 1 k in Singapore(Where i sourced it from ).
If you order it from lampsonline, it costs 1600 Rs.(40 USD).
So if you want improved performance, you may try the Osram Silverstar 50% since its much cheaper in India. But Philips is much better anyday

Philips also had the Vision plus -50% more light. This is no longer available in India now.

Hey Epic, have you already got them installed? If yes, then please let us know the price and your review on the product. What were the other brands (H8 HID's) that you considered before settling for the Bosch's?

Hi RufRoc,

No i have'nt fitted them yet. I have ordered them so waiting for their arrival as they will be comng from Dubai. I am getting it done from Sainath Motors on SV Road Mumbai. I am getting them for INR 9000/-. There were some other Korean brands but he advised against it and recommended BOSCH only. Will share my feedback after installation.

Actually the projectors running in our market are of a pretty high quality standard compared to other stuff thats available. The confusion arises because HID's are illegal in Taiwan and so the manufacturer of the projectors is required to print a warning stating "Only for use with Halogens" :p

If anything the issues will arise with the Angel eyes in the projectors.

I finally did some jugaad and installed the H7 kit in my fogs, heheh. H8 will be a perfect fit. How much is the kit costing you?

Hey Souljah,

So what do you suggest? Should i go in for a pojector seup wih HIDs or not?? I would definitely love the angel eyes on my car but really confused now. Dont want to invest in something that may not last.

The H8 kit is costing me INR 9000/-
