Hi motorheads, I'm from Bengaluru, my 2011 Innova 2.5 V is having issues with the headlight. I had installed a HID which worked fine for few months and later caused a major battery drain problem. Then I switched back to the bulbs with higher wattage.
Now, one of the bulbs isn't working. Can anyone suggest me a good place for LED headlights with expertise in car electricals ?

With the new LED's costing inline with "OSRAM NightBreaker LASER " (pun intended) and Phillips Xtreme Vision,

- Does it really make any sense investing in Extreme Vision/Nightbeaker halogens?
- Or, going for LED's is a wise choice?

I am looking for slightly warmer color (~5000 K) and have noticed few LED's come with a Tube and some orange/yellow colored stickers, which could be put on for slightly warmer colors. Would choosing them over traditional halogens any better? Any recommendations?

So I have been digging this topic of replacing the halogens on my Swift with LEDs. I have done plenty of research and concluded that Autobahn LED's is what I am going to go with. Most likely the 110w 20000 Lumens F5.
The only thing stopping me is the dust cover. I dont think we can leave the LED fan exposed as I have read that all the dust will get sucked in and enter the insides of the headlight. So the dust covers have to completely seal the unit, with the LED fan completely inside the dust cover. Earlier Autobahn used to sell these elongated Rubber dust covers that could fit the complete LED inside but they don't sell them anymore.

I am wondering what the general consensus is here about the LED fan being inserted through enlarging or cutting a hold in the centre of the existing dust covers. It just looks tacky to me this solution.
However as of now it doesn't seem like there is any other choice.

cutting the cover will lead to moisture inside and premature failure of leds. Either put a cover or get another led that fits inside with cover closed.

Yeah that is exactly my concern is why I haven't made the upgrade. Finding a LED that fits inside the stock covers is not possible as the stock caps are such a tight fit for the halogens. I am after something that seals the LED inside so it is dust proof and water proof - something like this - but it is not available anymore - anywhere.

Such dust covers are also used in a lot of bikes. Go offline and you will easily find one.

When it comes to auto-lighting, I am a bit naive. I have booked Brezza LXI MT which comes with projectors but with yellow lights and not LEDs and have heard that the lighting in very poor. I do not want to go with LEDs as they are not useful in rains. I would appreciate if you guys recommend which one to go with, ie, HIDs or something like Phillips X-tremeVision.

Now does it make sense to invest in Xtremevision? Yes, if you're comparing it with Osram Nightbreaker, because the Philips counterpart have double endurance ratings. No, if you're comparing it with HIDs/LEDs.
Switching to HID/LED depends on multiple parameters, the first being your headlight setup. Also the LEDs lose their peak brightness after running for 10-15 mins.

As per video's they look much better than Stock Headlights, but i believe the reflectors do play an important role. Considering my car, which has a moderate headlights [Ignis], i am a bit skeptical about the net percentage improvement.

True! LED's do lose their brightness after some time. But Stock ones produce ~1000 Lumens where as these LED's claim north of 8000 Lumens. Even if they lose say 30%, which is ~2500 lumens, they are still 3-4X more powerful than stock Halogens. No? Am i missing anything here?

Thinking of requesting a demo. I will try to share my experience after that.

The stock bulbs are HB4 51W for the low beam and HB3 60W for the high. I have used Philips HB3 80W in my Corolla without doing any relay addition and never faced an issue. I don't know if these bulbs are available now. I'd say just get the headlamp lens buffed, and use Philips Extreme Vision or Osram Night breaker in stock wattage. It should be a big step up from stock bulbs. In rains, no bulb would work well enough.

Hello Experts

I have a Hyundai Venue in which i have upgraded the tail lights to Custom LED set. Of late they are acting weird and that too only on the right side. Here is the scenario
1. When only on battery power both the lights light up perfectly fine and are stable
2. When I turn on the ignition, the right side light parking bulb starts running in the initial sequence of flowing LED and keeps on doing that and does not remain stable as the Left Side

I have grandi10 sportz AT 2019 TC one. I feel that the head lamps are under powered. It is not effective especially on low lit roads, both high beam and low beam.

Any suggestions/recommendations to upgrade it ?
Do I need to do at Hyundai ASC or Can I do it somewhere outside ?
Will it invalidate warranty if done from outside ? (I have taken extended warranty)

If it does not invalidate warranty, any recommended shops where I can get it done. I stay on Sarjapur Road ,Bangalore

Replaced stock halogen turn indicatory bulbs of my Seltos HTK+ with LED bulbs. Though led bulb specs said it's canbus error free, still I got canbus error on instrument cluster.

I don't wish to cut stock wires to install additional resistor. Is it safe to ignore instrument cluster bulb canbus warning? I understand that it's just warning since bulb resistance is low, so is it safe to assume that it won't cause any harm to car electronics except annoying warning on instrument cluster?

I am planning to upgrade the bulbs in the projector setup of my 2021 Venue SX Plus DCT with Excelite 12V 100W , stock ones are 12V 60W. It will be a plug and Play swap.

Do you see any concern regarding excess heating , wiring failures etc ?

Where can i find official maximum recommended power ratings for the bulb ?
