Thankx for sharing the info... A Wild Guess... What if we'll try to do it either way i.e. HID in HIGH Beam and Philips for LOWER Beam... ?? Will the lighting me more effective or not ??

HIDs give much more light than normal bulbs. about 3 times more light to be precise. the only problem in that they take about 5-10seconds to warm up. now if you have them in your high beam your high beam wont be very effective because of the warm up time. the normal bulbs are at the full brightness the moment you put them on. this is in cars with separate bulbs for low and high beam. in a car with one bulb for both if you wanna put HIDs then you have to get it for both.

I have a swift in which i have installed a HID kit 6000k in the headlights.
Now i want to install a HID xenon kit in the fogs also.As of i know the swift fog lamp is H8 bulb.

Can you guys please advice of what kit to go in for.Has anyone got xenons installed in the fogs??

Help me guys please!!! Waiting for the repliesplease:

it will be difficult to get a H8 kit for Xenon locally. Try ebay or something, but its not very reliable.
If you know a good accessory shop, they can source it for you

forget about that. the rs6 is out now.:D

Unfortunately rs6 is only available in Avant and as a matter of personal choice I like saloon.

I got new headlight Bulbs for my Indigo.Specifications as below

Philips Blue Vision 100/90w - 540 Rs pair
Relay With 20 A fuses - 180 Rs
Ceramic holders-60 rs
Installation 60 Rs. with High Horn replacement

Though I have not used ceramic holders till now, as mechanic was saying holders which were available with Relay are good enough.

Output is awesome now. I went for a drive to Yamuna Nagar before installing and on single road from Kranal to Indri to Yamuna Nagar, No Oncoming vehicle(Truck/Car) bothered to dim their headlights. After installing New bulbs while coming back to Delhi , On the same route Truccks/cars responded to my call for dimming their headlights.

Hi guys
long time since been to this thread.. well what makes me come back in here is
obvioulsy i got my car headlights changed.

I got Philips H4 130/100W. for it for Rs.400/- pair.
didnt much drive around with it. but yes, its better than my previous 90/100W.
i had the relay kit already fit in my car which i got for close to 500Rs

Philips Blue Vision 100/90w - 540 Rs pair is too costly i guess.....!!!

130/100W:Shockked: for your santro Xing, 2006, which has clear glass headlight. What do you want to do? That will surely blind the oncoming drivers too badly... Hope you take care of high beam

Wow kick.throttle! 130/100w on a Santro is wonderful! High beam is so perfect with those! I could drive without any difficulties!

Maybe I'll upgrade my Santro too with 130/100w :p

Yes, for 130/100W for your santro Xing, 2006 that has clear glass headlight.... surely it will blind the oncoming drivers. But i am a good driver, so when i find a oncoming guddi, i will switch to low beam. hopefully that helps..:)

but once u upgrade, dont use much of dim/dip.

Why is it so? If i'm not mistaken, Dim/Dip refers to the quick change from High to Low, or just refers to the low beam?

I checked the price in noida sec 16 market

Phillips blue vision 100/90w 540 rs pair
Crystal vision 650/pair
Diamond vision 750/pair

Does your Phillips H4 130/100W emits white light or yellow? Phillips blue vision emits blue light.

And since how long are you using them, will it not affect the inner reflecting glass and make them hazzy sooner than its life.

I have 100/90 wt Hallonix Yellow light bulbs, and they work very good, in my my car's non clear glass headlamps
