My friend is getting an i20 Active and want to upgrade the bulbs.
Any recommended bulbs and shop (in bangalore) ?
Thanks,
MB
Can anyone please guide me to the best and the most trusted automotive lighting shop in mumbai???
I am looking at the feasibilty of upgrading the fog bulbs on my Grand Vitara to leds.
I found some H11 3000K units on aliexpress. They look like this:
There are no heatsinks in these units. Claimed 30W rating.
I also found a unit with external heatsink, but they are offering 6000K light temperature only:
These are available in 50W rating with H11 connector on the extension.
Usage will be for couple of hours a month in the city. It may be used for a maximum of 5-6 hours during long distance drives. Will the bulb, without heatsink, last?

Guys, can someone please let me know the upgrade bulbs for Ciaz ZDi - without harness or breaking the warranty ? |
Guys please advice ? !
Better bulbs needed - both low/high beam - without warranty/harness issues.

Guys, has anyone here bought HID kits or bulbs from Ali Express?? A pair of H7 bulbs there costs just 550. Is it a good buy? |
I have. Worked when tested. Still on temporary wiring, so not in regualar use yet.
If you are getting for first time, then you will also need the ballasts. 35W, 4300k should be fine.
Can someone help in sourcing Lumax or neolite Aux lamps? 8-10 inch ones? At my wits end trying to find them online or off!

The screws are same on both headlamps so recheck your headlamp as I feel the one you have marked isn't the screw... |

You have to insert a star screw-driver into one of the four holes you see ahead of the cream screw in that picture you have posted. The adjustment gear is inside the hole and the star screw driver must be rotated CW or ACW to adjust the height. |
So I adjusted the headlights but still need to properly test the change. Since I could not find a wall where I could park at a reasonable distance, I had to do it in front of our gate where I couldn't get farther than 7 feet. Scope of error is larger at such a short distance so I might need to adjust again.
Also, I tried turning the gear using the star head but because of the taper of the tip, the edges did not catch the gear teeth so I used the flat head to manually catch and drive the gear. Initially I cursed Maruti for choosing such a lousy design of the adjuster because I had stick my arm in at a weird angle and contort it to make the adjustment. However, I then realised that they have actually made it easier because you can insert a long shaft screwdriver between the headlight and the metal beam that runs along behind it and make adjustments without sticking your hand into the engine bay.
@condor... I already have 35W ballasts... Just replacing the bulbs because the old ones go off every now and then

assuming no intention to go HID way:
1. Osram Nightbreaker unlimited H4 or Philips Xtreme Power H4 : INR 1500 for a pair - legal and warranty safe
2. Osram Bilux/ Philips Rally 100/90W H4 : INR 1600 with wiring kit, illegal, can render warranty void, need to use higher wattage wiring harness

Doubt you'll find any on the south pole on Mars ! :D
See #1 above, just remember to use correct bulb type - H7 I think, in the Ciaz.

Problem is more to do with the teeth of screwdriver. Use a screwdriver with thick teeth with less taper and the job is flawless.

The basic problem is that my dipped beam goes off whenever I hit a pothole or there is any kind of sudden jerk in the car. The headlight is a double barrel type with 4 HIDs (and ballasts). As already sgiitk had suggested that it might be a fault in the ballasts, I tried to interchange the ballasts with the high beam ones but still the problem persists in the dipped beam. :Frustrati
About the wiring, you yourself see what a mess it is. And to add to it, there is not even enough space to see what's what. stupid:
Still, I roughly checked it with a multimeter and it seems fine. Hence, faulty bulbs.

I think a flat tipped star type screwdriver would be ideal, if such a thing exists. Anyway, now that I know how to adjust the beam it will be relatively easier. I will probably need to do it only once more, if at all.
Hi Guys,
Can someone advise on locating the flasher relay in a Renault Duster? I need to replace the OEM with one that can handle LEDS (to prevent fast flash) - the flasher clicks are coming from behind the instrument panel- how do I get in there to do the replacement?
