Just came back from a 8000 km all India road trip wherein most of the days we had to drive during dusk and late evening. The headlight mod of 80w each for hi and lo beam Philips Rally worked really well. Was able to make most of the trucks switch off their hi beams. All the wiring etc worked perfectly.

Updates from my Swift Vdi light upgrade done around 3 months back.

Bulbs : changed from stock to 130/90 Osram off-road H4 - 300 per pair
Relay : Philips heavy duty relay - 900 rs
Labor :150 bucks

The difference in lighting is amazing. The stock bulbs were always useless during higher speeds, these bulbs are very good at a good price as well. Only thing is may be you feel the assembly a little more hot during continous night driving. That is manageable considering most of my driving will be in daytime.

Hope 130/90 don't damage or blacken the assembly.

QQ - does anyone know the bulb model number for the Sx4 Reverse/ Rear Fog/ Indicators (Frt. and Back) and Brake Lights? Been trying to buy LED versions of the bulb online - but cant find the model number. I dont even have the car manual to check.

Hi All,

I drive an Hyundai i10 Asta but do not like the headlights which came as standard equipment. The Low beam is not enough to light up the roads in front and high beam is a problem while driving in the city at night.
Any suggestions to change the lights and get a better visibility at night.

I got them from a Kochi based chap who goes by the handle XenonPro on the other forum. At the moment h is business is not active so has asked me to refrain from recommending any more customers. I got it very cheap, much below the market prices. I had asked for the loom. ballasts, and the lamps - 3000K, H11, 35W. He could not get the 35W, 3000K lamps, so has supplied 50W 3000K units with matching ballasts.

Yes sir i understand. 3K is very yellow if not totally yellow. I thought 4300/5000K is ideal for Auto lighting. (just my thoughts/knowledge) Gurus can advice.

4300K would be ideal for the main headlamp, and
5000K would be blueish light.
