Hmm, may be these are not. Generally the name is written on the glass.

Also the dome shape is different for Lightforce.

This looks like a glass shield whereas Lightforce is polycarbonate.

Guys, I am currently running all OE lighting on my 2007 Swift VDI. I am thinking of installing HID xenon (4300K) just for the fog lamps (H8). Do you think its a practical thing to do? I understand 4300K should be almost equal to the OE fog lamps. I will go for a 100/90 Halogen setup for the headlamps. Any indicative prices for getting the HID in the foglamps done?

Its not for the bling factor as I am looking towards practicality. Any members who already have a HID setup in the Swift Foglamps? Need advise on this....please:

Hi Dream,

Well I would instead advise you to go in for HIDs in your headlamps as fitting HIDs in fogs do not make any difference as the reflectors in the Swift fogs are too small to help in light scatter.

I have recently changed to HID on my swift fog with 4300k. I find it much brighter than the OE lighting. must of the street driving i just use my led parking lamps on the projector headlamps, and the HID fog lamp. Costed me 6k for the HID set up.

Light Force products for 2008.

This is direct from the distributor. A friend has the same fit on his Skoda.

Will pm you the details after I get the same

Those lights seem to be from one of the old TATA Trucks; like the one in this pic.

You have just added H8/H11 HIDs or changed the fogs to a projector setup ?

Just the H8 to HID, I havent yet found the perfect fit projector fog lamp set up as yet.

The main reason I plan to install HID only in the foglamps for the SWIFT is mainly coz of cops in Bangalore. In city I usually use low beams on my OE setup and keep the fog lamps switched off. If headlamps upgraded to 100/90W and Fogs on HID, I can switch on the fog lamps during my highway drives and also the hi beam on 100/90. 4300K is white light which might be useless during fog and rain. 3000K should suit highway driving. I am not sure if Philips manufactures 3000K in H8. What do you think about this guys?

I have not come across an incident where cops questioning the HID on head lamps. If you drive on low beam i don't think they stop you. Besides having white light from Fog and yellow beam from your head lamps, i think yellow will make the white disappear. How about getting extra pair of Fog lamps ? like hellas ?

You can order 3000K HIDs from eBay. Guess that should work :)

Dear Beejay - please refer my post on page 60 of the thread on Automobile Lighting elsewhere on the forum. It is also posted by Adheesh in the Premier Padmini Technical Information thread in the Vintage and Classic cars section. Don't spend money unnecessarily. Do exactly what I have written there, your headlights will work properly and you will be able to see the road.

Best regards,

Behram Dhabhar

Planning on the Lightforce Blitz. I have had good reviews from people who have already have them fit.

Any reviews on the same here?

Member Sha has 4 of LF's on his Gypsy and swastikviji has 2 of LF's. I have seen Shakir's LF's in action on Bangalore - Krishnagiri highway at night and they work like a charm against the state RTC buses.

Also in the twisty roads of munnar where the local taxi jeepers drive like mad I have seen them stop dead like a rabbit trapped in the lights.

PS: Shakir did not use them on always ON mode. It was only switched on when needed or more like a dipper..
