I want to upgrade the visibilty procurred from Stock Bulbs for Swift.
Am confused as to which should be a better setup.
Osram Night Breakers
Philips Vision Plus
100/90 Rally Eye setup.
Reliability is the biggest factor for choosing the variants.
What can be added for better lighting of the Fog Lamps.
For headlamps, I can recommend Philips Xtreme Power. These are 60/55 and do not require any relay or wiring change. They are definitely much brighter than any stocks. Also, they are yellow light and hence do not cause a problem in rains. I have them on my car since the last 7 months now with no problems at all.
Thanks Maassk.. how much would these cost.
I bought them for 900 bucks per pair at that time. Do not know the current price. However, I have the contact person's email in Philips India from whom I got the distributor's details for my purchase. Let me hunt for it and I will PM it to you in a while.
Pl don't PM. Publish it on the the thread. A lot if people would want to have it. Thanks

Kums,
The 3000 and 3003's are close to 9 inch in diameter. |
Bigman, can you please post a picture of them(your 3003 & 3000) with a side-on view, preferably true size image.Just want to check out how much depth these two needs.

I have been using the xtreme power from philips for a few months now. I dont find them as good as they were proclaimed to be. The high beams are decent, but the low beams are just as dissappointing as the stock lights I had on my verna. Somehow looks like going for the 100/90 is the only option left.

I am attaching a picture from the 3003 box which clearly shows all the actual dimensions. The dimensions for the 3000 are very similar (give or take the odd mm).
One big difference between the two is that the 3000's use clip/push fit bezels. These take a few seconds to remove so they are not very secure. The 3003's use hex nuts and the unit looks a lot more secure.

Ha ha ! The uploaded image of the hellas completely foxed me!lol: Anyways ,today i got my i10 fitted with fog lamps from hyundai. But the lighting is just ok as the bulbs are just 27 watts.I want to upgrade to 55 watts but i dont know if philips/osram manufacture them.Any idea guys?
@ invincible7 : i have been using night breaker in my swift for some time now and am satisfied with the bulbs. low beam is much better and high beam is whitish as compared to the stock bulbs. but beware of the fakes in the indian market. i bought mine through ebay uk.
whats the difference between h1 and h4?
Thanks vdi! so basically H4 for H/L and H7 for fogs.
yup and H/L can even be H1 and fogs can be H8 or H11 as well.
