For 700 bucks you get a relay+holders(ceramic), and add labor to that the cost should not exceed 850rs, even at an authorized service center.
I got relay without holders initially from Tata service center(concorde blr) for 400rs.

I am facing a funny issue. The MUL service center guys refuse to do an upgrade to 90/100 bulbs and a couple of accessory shops I talked to (including Driven) say that a relay is not needed.

Can anyone suggest a reliable place where I can get an upgrade done ?

guys, only the HI & Low beams xenon H4 is for 25k, all the single beam HID are for 14.4k with 2 year warranty. and i believe they are giving a discount of 5k, if someone from bangalore or chennai can confirm, as these are the contact addresses mentioned on the website.

Hi friends, I tried calling the numbers of Chennai office . But it says Number does not exist. Their factory numbers are very old. I also tried their bangalore numbers but it belongs to some other company. So right now its a dead end. Shall see if I can get to their address.

Hi, I have recently bought an old jeep MM540 and want to upgrade its bulb for safe night rides. I am not going to fit any extra light on jeep. Need to know which maximum Watt heloxan I can have and how much should it cost. Do I need to fit relay and other holders.

You can go for 100/90W buy you would need a relay and holders kit(Roots costs 700rs).

My friend wants the fog lights to throw white light instead of what he has now. This is a Swift VDi.

We are thinking of doing a DIY by buying a P220i's headlight and using the projector.

What other options do I have?

Can one get a different bulb for fog which will have white illumination?

JKD, yes you can. Find out which bulb the swift uses for fogs. My lancer uses H3 and i just changed them to Osram cool blue 50W fog lamps. They give a lesser yellow light with a blue tinge. looks very cool and they are ok in illumination.

Hi!

I fit Philips Crystal Vision 55/60 H4 4500k bulbs on my safari. The light is ok for city driving, but high beam is poor.

Had a chance to drive at night on the Golden Quadrilateral between Srikakulam and Vizag, and was running the same Philips bulbs.... and had a change of opinion.

The high beam is pretty effective when there is less oncoming traffic. Probably if the light is white instead of the blue tinge due to the blue ring, it should be more effective...

Swift OEM fogs are h8 bulbs.

Avoid 100/90 in there as it will get hazy in no time.

Hi tsk1979, just wanted to confirm if the aprox cost INR 700 include the cost of the new helogen bulb. I do not want to have a wrong bargain witht the electrician so wanted to clarify on this.

Thank you.

700 is for the relay and holders. Bulb are extra. Good 100/90W bulbs cost approx 350rs a pair. High end ones like bluevisions(which are pretty useless) cost 750 a pair.
