1. Better to get a set of bakelite or wooden holders. Available at shops that sell truck spares.
2. Relay is important so that there is no excessive load on your electrical system. Costs as lil as 500 bucks. Brand - Lucas TVS.
Planning to put Narva 100/90.I got a quotation of 650 for bulb and 1000 for ROOTS relay, total 1650. Is this okay ?

you are being taken for a royal ride as far as the relay is concerened.
The Relay with Cermic holders capable of taking 130/110W bulbs should not cost more than 750rs

Violaaa :Shockked: !! That sounds like the price for a light upgrade on 2 cars. The whole set (bulb+ ceramic holder+relay kit) shouldn't be more than 950 tops.
Thanks guys, I will bargain. If he reduces it I will put.

well to each his own. I've used Lucas TVS relay for over 2 years with bakelite holders and have had no issues. I have been using Philips Rally 130/100W bulbs.
One of the relays (for the low beam) has conked out on my Baleno. Where can I get a replacement relay? I think they are Bosch ones. I went to a Maruti A.S.S on the way to office and they said they dont stock individual relays - just the whole set including the wires and the holders.
And still my question remains ignored!!!
Help me out guys a really need a new pair of headlamps for my santro!!!:Frustrati
Buddy search this thread, your question has been answered many times.
A Xenon H4 kit means minimum 9000rs and 100/90W halogens can be had for as little as 200 a pair.
Depending upon your budget you can chose.
Most people go for the 100/90W relay path, and you can search this thread for your answers.
But do they actually fit a santro0?? I mean like u know without power and plug probs and all!!stupid:
