90/100 with complete wiring kit, relay and bulbs should set you back about 900 to 1000 rupees. Also for the swift petrol a relay is needed.

Hey guys,

Will the Maruti ASC do the relay job for me without voiding warranty? If not i rather change back to 55/60W bulbs. Any suggestions on a good set of white 55/60W bulbs of a reputed brand?

Oh forgot to mention. Ive got 55W bulbs in my fogs. Will that also screw up my wiring and holders?

Maruti guys will do it but will charge a lot more than the other guys in the market. Also 55w bulbs should not have any effect on your car's wiring and holders.

Also fitting 90/100w kit does not void warranty as you have not cut any of the stock wiring.

I recently got this upgrade done(with 100/140W) bulbs..at suraksha.
It costed me 1100/-
I, atleast 10 times asked the service engineer if I need to change the holder or any other part and he was like no, just the relay & wiring will do.
Havent got a chance to test the quality & quantity of light from the new lamps...so cant say any thing about that.

Regards,

I got a 90/100w upgrade for my innova for 950:00. For a 140/100w (is it available or is it 130/100?) I would recommend going in for ceramic holders as the normal ones will not take the heat for too long. They have a tendency to melt and fuse with the bulb after sometime. Happened to me in my swift.

Even I would recommend to upgrade holders while upgrading bulbs to 100/90 or 130/100. I have lost half a dozen of bulbs with stock holders not knowing that better ones are available.

I think the prices mentioned are in Australian dollars.

I guess, I better change the holders as well.
Any idea where can I get them...in and around Tippasandra/Marthalli.
I hope changing the holders is going to be DIY.

Regards,

Just upgraded my Skoda Octavia headlight bulbs with Philips X-treme H4 and i am happy with the result. But it is not availble in India. I have ordered via powerbulb.com

Hi!

I fit Philips Crystal Vision 55/60 H4 4500k bulbs on my safari. The light is ok for city driving, but high beam is poor.

Am considering the following:

- Change back to the OE bulbs.
- Replace with Philips 55/60 H4 ( yellow light similar to OE if available )
- try some other brand 55/60 to see if they are better.

Any suggestions /experiences ?

since it is white light you will see less. if you want to stick to white light then get 100/90w bulbs and relays/cutouts.

akshay1234,

I am not particular about white/yellow light as long as the visibility is better than the OE bulbs.. Light spread and throw should be good.

get any 100/90w bulbs and they will be a lot better than your stock 55/60w setup.

Can someone advice me on upgrading Civic lights to HID. The low beam is HB4 9006 and high is HB4 9005. Comments from people who have done this would be welcome. I am at Bangalore, so details of anyone who does this professionally would be welcome.
