Hi All,

Finally i got a ss80 throught one of my friend which I am taking as a restoration project. This is my restro project and need lot of help and guidance from our tbhpian guru's.

Took the vehicle this saturday to the mechanic and happy to say work has started and stated stipping all the parts. Have identified a list of jobs that i will be doing on this.

1. Engine Tuning(had done 67,000 Kms without an overhaul.)
Current Milage is 16+ kms/ litre.
2. Electricals and Lighting Service-
a) Repair of Wiper Motor.
c) New Wiper Blades (Can someone suggest me if any compatible Bosch Wipers are available in the market).
d) New Tail Lights.
e) Replace New Parking and Indicator Lights.(I have the orignial sealed beams headlights and tailslamps which came along with
the car(Make- Alpha Toyo))
3. Full Braking System Overhaul-
a) Replacement of Brake Pads.
b) Change of Barke Fluid.
3. Suspension Overhaul-
a) Front Ball Joints, Tie Rods and Bushes to be checked and replaced if found nonfunctional.
b) Front Shocker Plate Replacement.
c) Rear Shockers, Leaf Spring and Bushes to be checked and add additional leaf since will be going for mag wheels.

4. Bodywork-
a) No much body rust bit here and there.
b) Realignment and Dent beating to match bodylines.
c) Bumper ends need to be checked.
d) Scrapping off of old paint completely and get apple red on that.
e) New Primer and Paint (DUPONT).
f)Front Grille in tact.
5. Interiors Refurbishment-
a) Full re-bucketing of Seats with foaming.
b) New Upholstery.
c) New Door Panels.
d) New Roof Lining.
e) New Carpetting.
f) New Floor Mats.
g) New Sun Control Film.

Need to source the following (Urgent Help Required)
1. New Silver Lining for front Windscreen as the old has wornout.
4. New Silver Lining for Gutter Channels.
5. New Window Beadings.
6. New Interior roof rubber lining.
The vehicle is already in a workshop and all the parts have been dismantled.

Hi All,

Current Work in Progress. The entire engine is stripped and front axles are getting replaces. There was a problem with the third gear which is been taken care.

Scrapping the paint has begun and as there is no much denting work to the body line.

Pics attached are the related to current body line.

Hi All,

This is the current WIP from the liner front seats have been completed and the rear seats are still in progress.

A brief about the seats.

==>Modified the original seats only, however changed the resting portion on the same lower case of the seats.
==>Art Leather is the material used.
==>This resting portion for the front seats are the ones which is given in i10 cars.
==>Side pads have been completed.

Hmm, the cosmetic restoration is coming on nicely. Any pics of the mechanical restorations? Would be interesting to see the insides of the engine and suspension components once opened up?

Hi All,

Finally i have got my cuty car to this position, will not type more want the pics to talk. Feedback awaited from all. Most Important Need a roof beeding not available in bangalore. Ready to beg, borrow or steal.

Need to change tyres along with Mags (Please suggest me on this with configuration and Type of MAGS (Color combination))

Congrats on your restoration, it is very nice. These cars were certainly better than the current ones, have a nice and safe drive
