I just tried out waterproof LED Strips at the bottom of the headlights.
The one I got was the RoHS compliant LEDs made by Betop Electronics(BitCo) China.
The roll has markings where a scissor can be used;that is after every 3 LEDs.The + and - leads are also shown clearly.Cut the required length, solder wires and connect - bingo !!!!
The results are stunning;am attaching pics but they do not do justice to the real effect - which is W O W !!!!
hey, how do you connect these things without cutting any wires ?
This was connected to the parking lights - some splicing was required.

Hi. I have fixed them on my 800 5 speed below head lights . Light blue in colour They are available at Sagar Autorickshaw shop Chincholi Bundar Road Malad west SV Road @ 70/- each fixing charges paid Rs.10/- Time taken 15 minutes
there is a wide range of such LED strips of varying prices.
The best stuff retails for approx Rs.500 a meter.
Looks cool, but are there any colors available in these LEDs? I would definitely go for floroscent ones, if available !
Nice job! :thumbs up

Do you have WIP pics?
Apologies for the bad quality of pics but don't have a proper digicam with me
but with respect to WIP pics, I don't have pics myself, but I can tell you a DIY procedure for it.
you get readymade waterproof LED strips in the market(in Bangalore, It can be sourced from Om Electronics,SP road at about 375/- per metre.
You need to solder connecting wires onto markings on the LED strip,
Disconnect your parking lights from the holder, but let them stay in your headlight dome(otherwise dust will enter it)
Tape your connecting wires from the LED strip to the parking bulb holders
but check if they work before you tape it completely(insulation tape will do)
These strips come with 3M double sided tape on them so you can fix them the way I have or even on the top of the dome to give it the Eyelash effect. To each their own.
I blew a fuse in the process of doing this and for the people who don't want to try this DIY, just buy the LED strip(1m) should do for most headlights), go to your nearest auto electrician, shouldnt take him more than 15mins.
Please do comment on my photos
Cheers
Nice! :thumbs up

How did you conceal the tape coming around the headlamps (specially the sides?). Or is the wiring to the LED visible outside?
I honestly find these ideas of putting LED lights to be wacky. To each his own though. It looks horrible in my opinion. Everyone wants to be an Audi :p
LED lights make the car very much out of place. A few days back I chanced upon a Endeavour in which the LED was super over done. It seemed to be everywhere - headlamps, bonnet lip, side skirts & even on the back door.
The LED treatments remind me of the suit which Amitabh had worn in one of his films in which the lights were fixed upon (cant remember the name, bad @hindi movies)
Maverick1977: i think it was in movie "Yarana" and such stuff was also in 1-2 mithun da movies too.
I admit too much L.E.D.'s on outer would not look decent, thats why most i prefer installing them inside away from general public view.
But everyone has their own likes and dislikes.
Recently I've seen a Esteem in my city which has every color L.E.D. all through out car body, I spotted it only once and it was in Traffic Jam so was not able to click a pic, but i'll be watching it as it looks more like a Circus Advertisement. ;)

Even I had chanced upon an Innova totally done in LED almost every inch of space available on the vehicle. Looked really horrible. BTW the film was Yaraana
I agree it's wannabe audi, but till i can afford an actual audi, small tricks to make myself happy.
IMHO this combo would look killer with HID's and projector set up, but again due to financial constraints of being a student, doing with narva white headlights,
but yet again, contemplating saving up enough to put HID's in the fogs, lets see how it works out
and also, this combo does look pretty mean with just the LED's and no headlights on
Like you guys said
to each his own
Besides this, my car is absolutely stock on the exterior, Sunfilm all around and debadged too
i just hope it doesn't land up in the "wierd and wacky mod thread"
cheers
I personally dont like installing leds below the headlights. Why dont you try putting them on the lower part of the bumper, like the ones you see in the new E class.. that would look better..
