Hi,
Just did a so called DIY on my Honda city zx VTEC.
I used a BOLT-ON Bi-xenon projector setup, as the regular one makes the headlight unusable if the projector is removed, It was a 45min job. The best part about this kit was it came with every thing you need BI-xenon 3.5" projector with a bezel fitted,Hid with ballast ,relays,CCFL rings.
The visiblity is good, Low beam can be better, will try and modify it,High beam is nice, and the Dipper function is :D
I will not compare it to any of the HELLA projectors,They are better but then they come at a price and fitment issues as well.
But it will say for me they are worth the money. :)
Wow awesome. so from where did you get these bi-xenon projectors along with all the fitments and for how much?
It was imported by some one, it costed around 14k.Every fitting was part of the package
Tell us more! It looks fantastic. Brand, Price??
Not really any brand name. Just called BI-XENON projectors, A years warranty for sure.
Congrats! Post some pics of the hi/lo beams
@noidaboy- Does this kit come only for the honda city or it can be retro fit in any car?

I have a similar kit - and its instructions asks you to head the headlamps in a grill at 85 degrees for 12 minutes, or use a hot air blower. Am wary of both - grilling a headlamp?? :Shockked: Or where will I find a industrial hot air blower?!! :Frustrati
@ noidaboy - any tips on how you did it?
wow!, that's super cool. Can you post a detailed DIY?

The only effort is to open the headlight, NO CUTTING required that is the whole point of the kit. You just need to remove the bulbs and fit this in, Its customized to fit H4 size holders and takes all the support and get locked there. So if you sell the car tomorrow,You can just unscrew it and put back your original bulbs.

Just take a head gun and carefully heat the edges of the lights melting the silicon inside,You can pull apart the glass with the help of force and screw drivers. You can use 400-500deg heat on a heat gun. But you have to be careful and not to over heat it, else you may melt the mould. Once you are done heat the edges again and place back the glass and fit it, The same silicon will hold the glass again.
The international way is to find a OVEN that can contain that big a light and the heat it.

Thanks bro. Have to hunt for a heat gun now. You think I gotta buy one? Or can you suggest the likely places from where I can borrow one?
Can you name the kit or any link which guides through the specifications of the kit?
Where did you source it from etc?
That would be really helpfull.

All this for 14k? Or did you have to buy anything separately? What about shipping?
