Can someone help me escalate this ?
Unfortunately, there is no publicly available escalation matrix for Boodmo.

Now, in your case, since you have the unboxing pics, the quality check will go through just fine. Nothing to worry. I had initiated the return for a rear wiper blade of Tiago because the one they sent did not fit. They insisted on a quality check on return

Re: Best sites to buy parts online

I had ordered Punto alloys on December 28th. Till today no communication from Boodmo at all. After repeated emails to their grievance email address , all went in vain. Finally I complained on consumer forum today. I received my refund now.

I will not recommend this scam website company to anyone. I think Team bhp should highlight this to as many folks as possible. Not even a courtesy email from Boodmo till now about the delay in shipment nor any response to my messages.

Estimated delivery was Jan 17th btw.

Try 99RPM, I've purchased many Bajaj and some Fiat merchandise, they have been super quick with dispatches, only downside is, their customer care in my opinion is non existent and returns are practically not possible.

A month back, I had ordered a headlight's cover socket for swift 1st gen, but boodmo keep pushing the delivery date. When I enquire, they say they are trying to secure the item from vendor. Just today, I see the status is updated as "looking for supplier"
The item is still available in their website with 15 days delivery. Iam not sure why don't they source it before hand and then put in website for sales.
Something is not right, the way they working. I wouldn't risk any high value purchase.

I had returned a led headlight and yet to get a refund or a replacement. Let's see, how long I would need to wait.

Boodmo let's suppliers list their items. So it is I think the suppliers who are not adhering to scheduled delivery dates due to their enthusiasm in listing items that they probably don't have in stock. However it should be the duty of Boodmo to address this issue. I don't expect much from their customer service though.

By the way, which consumer forum did you approach. I was in a belief that, these complaints thru forum, doesn't usually work.

It's National consumer forum, Google it , results will show the .nic pages. They will take the complaint from you , ask for screenshots and proofs and then reach out to the company. I raised a complaint in the morning and by evening I got my refund. Yesterday I received an apology email from Grievance guy. Although it lacked any empathy. I have used this channel in the past and it seems to work. Sometimes I reach out to customer support heads via email. But in case of Boodmo, there is nothing about them online which makes me believe half the customers are being scammed.

There is a dedicated link for Boodmo from the Team-bhp website. It should be removed as soon as possible because it sends the wrong message.

Re: Best sites to buy parts online

I have been a Boodmo customer since 2017. I love restoring old vehicles like the Gypsy.

So during my restoration I purchase loads for parts from boodmo. Initially they only used to charge for products . Shipping was also free. Later as they gained good reputation they started charging for shipping (which was ok) but it was on the higher side almost 50%of purchase value.

This week when I wanted to get a whole lot of parts for my Next vehicle restoration project added parts worth 10k in my basket and was shocked to see that the total I had to pay was 26k due to additional shipping and platform charges. That was insane and I decided not to purchase from them. They lost a customer that day.

Re: Best sites to buy parts online

Is Boodmo shutting down or something? I keep seeing a "90% Off Liquidation Sale" pop-up.

They also have some link to Oriparts, what's the story with that?

As an alternative is motrparts a decent alternative? Hopefully someone has some experience with them.

Re: Best sites to buy parts online

Went to check prices of some spares on Boodmo and this popped up.

Best sites to buy parts online-1.png

I'm not sure if Boodmo had a similar threshold already but order value of ₹12,000 for free delivery is ridiculously high! Even their delivery charges seem to have increased lately. In my case it comes to roughly 35% (₹280) of total order value. Surprising, given that the items are not very difficult to source/ship, just some wiper blades, washer fluid sachets, polish etc.

Re: Best sites to buy parts online

Even I faced issues with Boodmo, I had ordered a couple of struts and it was delayed. Unfortunately, I had to reach out to their customer care team and I am appalled by their attitude. I am not even sure if they read our emails or if they understand the problem.

Below is how my conversation with their customer team went.

Kamalesh CM – my initial query was raised on May 13th, 2024, 02:23 pm
Hi, Can you let me know the status of the order? I can see that the parts are still in Delhi. I was expecting it to be delivered today. It would be great if you could get it delivered in a day or two as I would not be available to take delivery of the parts.

Arun j - boodmo Support Published on May 14th, 2024, 10:17:18 am
Dear Customer,

Greetings from boodmo!

As I can check, your order has been dispatched and you can track it using the below link:

Let us know if you need any further assistance.

Kamalesh CM Published on May 14th 2024, 12:33:29 pm
Hi Arun, As you can see from my initial query, I am aware that it is dispatched. It was supposed to be delivered yesterday and it has not been delivered yet. As mentioned earlier, I will not be available from Thursday to take delivery of the parts so it would be great if you could get it delivered by then, if not, I would like to go for cancellation.

Arun j - boodmo Support Published on May 15th, 2024, 11:11:38 am
Dear Customer,

I sincerely apologize for the delay in processing your order.

I have escalated this issue with our courier partner, and they are working diligently to ensure the prompt delivery of your order. I will provide you with an update on the status of your order within the next 48 hours.

If you have any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Kamalesh CM Published on May 15th 2024, 11:16:15 am
Hi Arun, Unfortunately, I do not have the time. I will be traveling for the next week or so and there will be no one available to collect the product. Can you please cancel this order?

Arun j - boodmo Support Published on May 15th, 2024, 11:40:42 am
Dear Customer,

Greetings from boodmo!

As we can check, your order got dispatched before we received your cancellation request and it is currently in transit to your location.

We’ll try to get the shipment returned to the origin and will refund you the amount once it is received back.

Just in case, the courier partner tries to deliver your order before we could process the return, you can deny accepting it. The refund in that case too shall be initiated after we receive the part back at our hub

Please let us know if you need any further assistance.

Kamalesh CM Published on May 15th 2024, 11:49:18 am
Hi Arun, I am not sure if you are understanding the problem. I am canceling it because it did not reach me on time. When I placed the order, it was mentioned that I would receive the product on 13th May 2024. However, it's 15th May 2024 today and it is still not delivered.
I will be available to take the product today however if your delivery partner tries to deliver it tomorrow, no one will be around to collect it or refuse delivery. I do not want the delivery agent to drop the product somewhere and mark it as delivered. I hope you understand the problem now, look forward to a suitable resolution.

Kamalesh CM Published on May 15th 2024, 3:33:24 pm
Hi. I have got delivery of the parts. thank you for the support.

Dear Customer,

Thanks for your patience.

As per the latest update your order has been delivered 18 hours ago.

Incase you haven't received the order please let us know within the next 24 hours.

I am appalled by their customer service and judging by the interaction with them, I am pretty sure that if something goes wrong I would be spending a good number of days chasing them. The phone number does not work and only sends us links to webpages for refunds, cancellations, etc. we will have to contact the customer care team via the website and there is no provision for escalation or to talk to anyone. All we have to do is type in our query and they will get back.

I for sure will not be buying anything from them going forward.

Re: Best sites to buy parts online

For my more than a decade old Fiesta, the service centers are not very keen to help me with spares. And most often they push to buy an entire assembly, not just the child part I want to buy. So I was happy to find most of what I need on the boodmo website, but after adding all the spares to my cart, I was shocked to see that shipping is 40% of the final payable amount

Came to team-bhp to find out if that is the norm, and then read many horror stories of parts not being shipped, wrong parts being shipped and also the hassle of returns and an almost non-existent customer support team at boodmo!

I think it is better for me to stay away from them and keep exploring locally for spares I need.

Hey if I am not mistaken this is based in goa and I have seen their shop on my way to work.
Kindly confirm if it's the same.
If yes then can probably confirm by visiting them personally.
