Accessories for Tata Xenon XT

This is my first post in the forum. I recently booked new Xenon XT. I'll share my experience with all the TATA dealers in NCR after sometime. Meanwhile the car is getting delivered by month end. Xenon is a kind of vehicle which will look awesome when fully loaded. Here is list of accessories which I have taken from TATA.

1) Front bumper guard (half-safari fame)
2) Bull bar also known as roll over bar
3) Site stepper
4) Bedliner

But there are a lot of things that need to be done to make this car fully loaded. Here are the things in my mind.

1) First of all, Xenon tyres do not go well at all with the overall dimensions & looks of the vehicle. It needs wider tyres. Reliance autozone was telling me that if I take the car right out of the showroom & take it to them they'll give a good deal on my existing tyres. what is your opinion

2) There is one problem which I felt in the Xenon is the back seat. The sitting position is too upright. can somebody suggest what can be done for that & how much cost will it have.
3) A nice music system. (any suggestions please)

4) Fog lamps on the roof

5) Some body graphics. (By the way today I received my team BHP stickers)

6) The interiors are way too dull. Please suggest what all can be done to jazz it up a bit. (like changing the steering wheel, gear knobs, techometer lights etc, nice seat covers). Can somebody tell me how much will it cost in jazzing up the interiors.

7) Also, I am looking to by a soft-top boot lid covering for the rare. When can I found a decent black color boot lid covering

Last but not the least, what should be the best place to do all these things. I stay in Noida. I have a "carnation" & a "Reliance autozone" outlet near by & a so called exclusive car market in sector 16.

Replies eagerly awaited. In case I did miss something which you feel is a must, please let me know

Thanks

I have a thing for those Light force lamps and a Xenon would ideally be a good vehicle to have them fit.

I am not sure about how it would look on the roof. IMO i would have it on the front.

Thanks for the info dude.Actually nothing is final yet. I am just trying to get maximum information before I go for the mods. I'll keep the lamp thing in mind.

The Xenon offers a long list of customisation goodies. Actually, so does the Nano (what an accessories list!). Good on Tata to give options to personalise at the showroom itself.

Except for the side stepper, to all of them.

Upgrading tyres straight from the showroom ensures you get the best exchange prices for your OEM tyres. Go ahead, just ensure that you choose the right tyre size.

I'm afraid you don't have too many options here. There is hardly any space behind the seat back. Thus, if you try to build a custom inclined backrest, the legroom will go for a toss.

Awesome. As Beejay commented lightforce is the way to go.

I suggest you wait a while, enjoy your Xenon and if required, get these done in due time. There are plenty of interior modifiers in Delhi.

Tata itself. I believe they have one as part of the standard accessories list.

Dear GTO,

Thanks for a detailed reply. I am going for side stepper because of the height of the car. You literally need to climb if there is no support at all.

coming to tyres, the default tyres were good year 215/75/R16 (pretty odd size),even if you compare it with safari. Safari by default has Bridgestone tyres of 235/75/R16. For a vehicle of xenon size, the tyres were looking very thin. I am exchanging it for Silverstone 245/75/R16. These are very sporty looking tubeless radials.

You are right, there is hardly any space behind the seat back, so I am not going for any mods here. I'll only try improving the seats with some nicely cushioned seat covers.

Regarding soft top boot lid covering, well i am struggling a lot with TATA. They have mentioned a lot of things as part of accessories, but many of them are not available. Forget about the soft top cover here, I am still struggling to get the Bull bar from them. But I have made it clear, unless you gonna provide me the accessories I had ordered, I am not gonna take the delivery of the car. They have promised everything by next sunday. I am just keeping my fingers crossed for that.

Anybody, please suggest where can I find the soft top boot lid cover for xenon in Noida/Delhi. that would really help.

This looks amazing, but I am struggling a bit to find a nice soft top Boot lid covering for my Xenon (which is there in this picture). Could you please tell, what would be the best place in Noida/Delhi to get this.

Congratulations!! Please post the pics as soon as you get the delivery. I am sure you booked the 4wd version.

For the lights on the roof i recommend Lightforce or At least Hella 3000. Do not go for cheaper unbranded ones.

Met offroader1 and his Xenon last week - the pic of him and his car is posted here.

Not seen a Xenon up close on the street before, and the first impression is that of a huge vehicle with very shiny and great-looking paintwork. That impression falls flat when the doors are opened - TML must have imagined they were catering to people without taste, and anyone who chose a Xenon wanted it for its external looks only.

@offroader1: Have you got the seat covers yet? And fixed the front fender?

@offroader1: I have seen your Xenon many times in Indirapuram area and couple of times in my society. Do you also stay in AG society in Indirapuram?
I would be very happy to meet you.

Sorry for realt late reply..was really caught up badly in an office assignment.
Yes ss traveller, I have finally got the seat covers & the front fender is fixed as well.
Just need a soft-top covering for the back now. will visit some mod shops in delhi to find out if they could customize something for me.

thanks memo45_m, for the pics & suggestion on the soft-top. let me see if I could get something similar.

Abeer, I do stay in AG Indirapuram. We can meet in the evening dude or may on weekends.

Now that I am bit relieved from ofce work & all, planning for a short trip. I'll post some pics in a day or two. I have already driven 5000 Kms in last 2 months or so & so far so good..I am just loving riding this beast.

Compared to the other trucks (Bolero Camper & Scorpio Getaway), this is one beautiful vehicle. However it's quite a handful in the city. Ideal for the highway. Love the feeling when the turbo kicks in.
