@Offroader

not sure if your requirement for boot lid is over. Why not look for carbon fiber fabricated boot lid. There are folks in Hyderabad who do fabrication work. It will provide you sturdy and tasteful output.

Re: Accessories for Tata Xenon XT

Hi all,

I am an army officer presently posted in Chandigarh, and I bought a Xenon XT 4x4 in Jan 14. The experience with Tata Motors has been a painful one. Right from the booking to the delivery, to the servicing has been a bad one.

When I walked into the dealership to enquire about the Xenon XT, they didnt even know if the vehicle was available in the passenger section. They kept shunting me to the commercial vehicle section. I had to get in touch with the regional manager TML at Chandigarh to even book the vehicle.

Thereafter, Chandigarh RTO refused to register the vehicle in the passenger section. There was no help from TML in this regard. I had to threaten the RTO with a RTI query and seek an interview with the Home secretary, Chandigarh Administration before they agreed to register my vehicle in the passenger section.

I had ordered the front nudge guard, the bedliner, the rear nudge guard and the roll bars from TML itself. The fit of the front nudge guard is poor, the nudge guard keeps slipping and I have to take it to the dealership every 15 days to get it tightened. The roll bar was also poorly fitted, and had to removed and fitted again. The rear nudge guard was welded into the poorly fitting slots and I refused to take delivery until the issue was sorted out.

After delivery, I took my vehicle for the first free service at 1000kms, and the people at the dealership were seeing the vehicle for the first time and did not have any idea about it.

Somehow, I am not convinced that TML even cares about this vehicle or its owners. It really has been a very bad experience so far.

As far as the accessories for the vehicle go, I have not been able to find any good accessories in india. I have finally resorted to ordering the stuff from Amazon.com who are delivering at a heavy shipping cost.

If there are options available in India then please do let me know.

Regards

You could try Autopsyche for the parts here in North. He is close to CHD too. Also, you could contact Gerrari Offroaders, they are an offroading team based in CHD. They could help you with the good parts and all!
