Awsome effort !!!

Do you tend to leave the portion marked in red circles as it is ? I would suggest you bring down the body a bit more down and looks might improve.

Or is it the angle in which the photo is taken that leaves the impression the body is higher than it actually is ?

Eagerly waiting for its completion. BTW i had read that you were waiting for the V8 engine, have you sourced it? The only justice to this kind of built would be to give it the best power available.

The rear diffuser, when installed, will take care of that.

Well yes there are two engine options, thanks to psycho there is a lexus LS400 v8 engine and if that doesn't work out, there is a rover v8 engine lying around for anytime i want.

hey neil, i cant say anything on any of your questions yet as the guy i brought the engine from said you wont have to do anything it will work but we dont want to risk it, a complete engine rebuilt is definately be thought of but will have to check the availability for the gaskets and seal kit before doing so. there are some sites with info on them i am just going through them
Gearbox is another plane for now as cranking the engine is the priority. then comes gearbox, headers free flows everything.

Hey by the way, the conti 1.8lt four pot block is heavier than the rover v8

That first picture makes the engine look MASSIVE - but then the two words "aluminum block" were the saving grace.

The fact that it weighs less than the conti engine is pretty amazing.

How many hours a week do you guys spend working on this project alone?

Well Rehaan most of the weekdays when there are no other work in the workshop nigel works on the conti all day. Also on thursdays and sundays we work the whole day as those days i dont have my office. Nowadays due to some work in the shop we mostly spend time in the evenings on the car after 7 .
