Re: Jopasu Car Duster - A mini review

Thanks for the information Sridhar. I'm looking for one urgently rather than buying online.

Let me catch it by today.

Re: Jopasu Car Duster - A mini review

I guess I'll try washing my brother's duster with just cold water and no detergent!

Any kind of detergent will remove the wax!

Where does one get it in Mumbai? Is eBay the only choice?

Re: Jopasu Car Duster - A mini review

Can anybody help me in sourcing the Jopasu Duster. The listing on ebay is quite expensive especially the shipping cost. So was wondering if anybody could help me procure one. Will transfer the amount in advance, if needed.

Re: Jopasu Car Duster - A mini review

I got the Jopasu's combo pack (hand-held duster + large car duster) from e-bay, paid Rs. 890. The duster works like wonder, It takes only 3 minutes to clean my i10 completely. There is no dust visible after cleaning and even difficult places are cleaned very effectively. The duster has a large span. I am happy with the product.

Re: Jopasu Car Duster - A mini review

It's a good product no doubt! I am using it.
However, pls be careful about washing the duster itself.

1. First of all try to avoid washing it till the maximum time possible. Try to keep it as clean as possible by dusting it after every car-wipe.
2. When you think it's not effective, i.e. it's not picking up dust like it used, that is the time you have no choice but to wash it with very little soap and water. The more you expose it to soap and water, the more ineffective it will become.
This I am saying from personal experience. I repeated the cycle of dipping it in fresh soap-water solution 4-5 times, till the water left in the bucket was absolutely clean.
Now it is become at least 60% less effective. Now my duster doesn't "pick up" the dust...it just "sweeps it aside"....

Great product but just take care in washing it.....

Same problem for me too. It only sweeps the dust aside ever since I washed it. So guys just be careful when you wash it.

After the wash, it's useless.Whats' the fun of using a dirty duster?I find, the product life is too short!
Need to look for better options.

Re: Jopasu Car Duster - A mini review

Mine, after 3 months, has stopped picking up dust as it used to, and is sweeping the dust to a little extent. Pretty sure soon it will just sweep and wont pick.

Very good product, but as said above, life is short. I haven't ever washed it,, and resisting the urge to wash it.. It would be good if there is a way to clean it without it losing its picking ability...

A lot of people seem to be having issues with the duster. I have had it for some time now and have washed it at least three times and still it is as good. I soak it in cold water with genteel for about an hour and then rinse it out and lay it flat in the shade to dry. Once dry I use a comb (my dog's grooming comb in fact - long toothed) to untangle the braids and bring the softness back. And it is ready to go.

A friend of mine and fellow BHPian got it from another fellow BHPian- mkh. Seems like mkh and nirmaljustdoit also sell it. Planning to get one myself too. Even if its worth for 4-5 months, worth the amount for what it gives.

Hi Garipagol,
I washed my duster in good detergent but soaked in sun. After that, it had stopped picking up dust. Can its original behavior be retrieved?

If not, I will buy another one. If so, can I take your words that if washed properly as per your instructions, the duster will be as good as unwashed?
