Va Va Voom! Now here's a great job well done.
KS, except for the clutch failure, how did it perform vis-a-vis the gypsies in the DS? Was it faster and more agile? If the clutch didn't burn out, do you think it would have out performed the gypsies?

BTW, it's the 2.0L petrol engine, right? How much more would it cost if one were to plonk in the vrs engine?

This would be Skoda's 1.8L Turbo engine that was used in the vRS/Rider and various Audi/VW cars. Rite?!

hi karan,
does that 10L includes cost of donor car ?(skoda) in your case,
Since you guys build the entire new chasis from scratch & used the engine & some suspension components from skoda, what happens to original skoda?

To put in simple terms, shouldn't it be possible to build the buggy without destroying a complete car, just import the engine & necessary suspension components.

In that case, it would make it very difficult to actually register the car as a custom vehicle.

But this IS a custom vehicle, no?

Karan, how is one to get around Registration for this buggy? Is it actually registered or do you plan on bringing the father of the nation on your side, if a cop pulls you over?

outstanding work! Two questions.

1. how did you manage to register it.
2. What was the cost of spaceframe chasis. WHo made it? Can he make one with a specs that I give.?

The only explaination I can think of is that the car was TOTALLEDor cost of restoration was beyond reason. After all it was / is a Skoda Petrol

Cheers

Thanks for the additional pictures KS.

I saw this thing flying up the road yesterday (or it might have even been another buggy - since i barely got a look at it), it sounded wild!! Not what i would expect a skoda petrol engine to sound like at all!

Yup it was me in the buggy and my freind in his evo 6 driving with me
Its fun to drive it on tarmac roads...its will go sideways very easily.

Cops love it,they want a ride in it..but yes regist is a problem....But used for a rally with the stickers still in place,my rally license also help me with the cops.

Yes,like my evo build, give 10 lacs and take buggy(2.0 petrol)...13 lac(rs engine)But if some one has a skoda and wants to make a buggy,we will have to sit and talk about the cost

But importing engien is no more of a "just"...its difficult
