I was quoted around 7k for Arctic Cool for the front windshield, although I suspect I could have negotiated down to 6.5k or lower.
RKV - I am looking to install ice cool for the front windshield for new verna. Can you let me know where you it installed ?

I got mine done from this shop near Sarita Nagari, Sinhagad Road. Pro Detail. Seamless work. You can connect with Saurabh Kulkarni (+918668398447). You can visit if the location is convenient. I guess they have a couple of branches in other areas, can't remember.

Re: Front windscreen sunfilm?

Got Garware Arctic Cool 70 installed on all windows and rear glass and also installed Arctic Cool Shield 70 on the front windshield. Total came upto 18k at a shop called Moto Rhythm near Bellandur, Bangalore. I live in east Bangalore but found this shop through an Instagram ad and the owner is a decent chap who works in an IT company as well as runs this shop.

There is a Car Curo in the basement of the Grand Horizon mall on Sinhagad road, Pune behind Brahma hotel. My BIL did the Safari windshield sun film of Gaware Artic cool shield there. Very professional. The sun film installed actually comes from outside.

Do you mean from outside of the car? I have always got films installed from inside. I hope they do not come off with time due to light exposure or bird dropping or cleaning.

Sorry for the typo, I meant the Sun film installer, he is not based at the detailing store but comes from outside.

Re: Front windscreen sunfilm?

I have spoken to a few shops, this is what I think I want to settle down on.
  • Front Window / Windshield: Garware Arctic Cool Film
  • Four Side Windows: Garware Ice Cool Film

The price I have got for all five windows is 12K-15K (including discounts).

Am I on the right path?

Re: Front windscreen sunfilm?

I was told by one of the shop owners that one should not get film on the back window as it has a defogger but another shop owner is saying it is fine, and the film when applied properly does not mess with the defogger.

What do you guys suggest?

Yeah, from what I have heard car curo is a good place. Wiper Auto Detailing Studio (PCMC) is good too (from some references in my society).

I paid 18k for Arctic Cool 70 for all 6 glasses. The front one is different with the word Shield included. No issues with night driving. They claim about a 20% reduction in glare from oncoming headlights, and it possible works. Haven't been bothered by oncoming high beams so far.

I had the same concern about the defogger, it just has to be installed right without using any sharp tools on the inside of the glass as the defogger lines can be broken.

Thanks, Akshay. I will ask for the "shield" one from my detailer too.

My concern is not about the installation but uninstallation of the film.
