So black ice and black crystal are both jute based. What is the difference between these two if I may ask? Only the smell, I presume?

The jute based ones are very mild. Areon used to have some hang on types - those smelt excellent though they would last hardly 15 days. But fragrance was excellent - not fruity like shaldan etc. Can't find them now.

Re: How does your car smell

I currently have Ambi pure's Lemon, Sweet Citrus is the name I believe, its pretty good and last almost a month (in minimum). I usually prefer Lemon/Citrus ones, the rest of them like Jasmine, Rose, Lavender, etc has a lot of fake smell.

I can always take Real jasmines flower (or any other flower for that matter) anytime of the year.

3) Water-based - Mostly Non-Aerosol Sprays
4) Paper Based - Little Trees (not really suited for Indian climatic conditions)
5) Jute Based - Juter fibres dipped in concentrated oils (eg Shaldan Organic, Areon Black Ice etc.)
Out of all 5 basic forms, which ones last longer?
I have been using My Shaldan gel-based and there are some more gel left over sticking to the center stick. But it doesn't emanate any form of smell. When having a closer look, they have become dry. Normally I keep them under the drivers seat with no reach to my kid and my car doesn't stay long in the sun.

Re: How does your car smell

This is worth a try -- http://www.ebay.com/itm/400433468385...ht_2638wt_1142

This does not give any "scent" per se. But it does its job as advertised. My car smells fresh without smelling anything like Nicotine, Orange, Lime, grape etc.

Depends what your really want - if its intensity and strength, then nothing beats My Shaldan and if its longevity with mild fragrance, then I guess its Organic (jute-type).
I've had a different experience with My Shaldan jute-based freshener. The smell did not even last for more than a month. And I had only cut a small slit in the tin cover (to avoid fast evaporation). These days, either I've gotten used to the fragrance and I cant notice it uniquely or that the oil has evaporated completely.

The same ionizer comes at 2 different prices. One costs 299+51 shipping and another store sells at 655+55.

http://www.ebay.in/itm/New-Mini-Car-...item3cd49a37bf

http://www.ebay.in/itm/Car-Auto-Air-...item417786d735

In both the cases the specs remain the same.

How much did you pay for this?

I bought one a couple of months ago. It worked pretty well. As I said earlier, it won't give you any perfume. But will neutralize the odor inside.

Personally I loved the Jasmine fragrance ! Its awesome and found it way better than Areon Black Ice. The intensity is strong yet keeps the ambience pleasant.

One doubt, what difference does the color make?
Is there any difference between Blue & Red color ionizer?

Isn't high bucks spending here?! Smelling / perfuming job can be cost effective by many other means discussed in http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/modifi...me-refill.html

And spend bucks to buy lime, graps, orange, apple..
