Recently bought Areon Fresco. It's a hanging perfume and has been doing wonders. 2 weeks in and the bottle isn't even 20% empty.

Total cost was 199+39. Worth a try me thinks.

Re: How does your car smell

My i10 currently smells of peaches.

Car freshener is one of those hanging things that hang from the IRVM.

Got it when I gave the car for its first service at neighbourhood Motors, Ahmedabad, so do not know cost/where to get etc.

Re: How does your car smell

Just finished 2 months with my Areon Lemon perfume. It was Ok.
Have placed an order for Areon Wish, should get it in a week, will post the review then.

I have always used Jute based perfume, this will be my first gel based perfume from Areon, lets see how it goes.

Didn't like it much as the fragrance is barely noticeable. Will try something else from Areon next time.
Adi, I too have put the same, but in my Car, the fragrance is apparent. I seem to like it, but maybe from next time around, I just might stick with orange/lemon flavors. They are natural & mild. I prefer them.

Black crystal is jute based, and is quite a subtle fragrance like you said. It isn't too powerful, but it lasts quite long - 2 months or more if you don't wind down the windows too much.

Over the past year, I ended up trying almost every flavour of Areon gel tins. Here's my version of ratings:

Overpowering / long-lasting : Passion (bubble gum fragrance), Desire (fruity)
Medium strength, medium life : Lemon / Orange (citrus), Wish / Dream (after-shave type)
Subtle fragrance : Apple (fruity), Black crystal.

There's a nice spray based perfume as well from Areon, but this needs an additional work of spraying it around the interiors every now and then

Thanks Karthik. I loved the Wish variant and next time I'll pick up the Dream. The fresh fragrance is what i like most in addition to woody or coffee based perfumes in the car.

Ambipur used to have an After Tobacco variant and it was one of my favorites. Sadly they don't make them anymore.

Re: How does your car smell

Has anybody here tried poppy gracemate, especially the jasmine fragrance which comes in a white bottle, it sure does leave an impression.
met an old lady friend of mine after a few years recently, who has bought a fancy car, she wanted the same perfume for her car, which she sampled in mine a long long time ago, she doesnt remember which car i had then, sure does remember the fragrance though.

Re: How does your car smell

I wanted to avoid these artificial perfumes as much as possible. So, taking clue from an earlier post from this tread, tried keeping coffee powder in a cloth pouch inside the car. Wasn't very successful as the effect of coffee smell did not last beyond couple of days. Few days back, tried a different option. I had purchased a small bottle of Lemon Grass Oil from my last Munnar trip. Took a small portion of cotton, put 2-3 drops of Lemon Grass Oil, rolled the cotton and kept it in between the air-vents and success!!. Now the car really smell nice.

Hey, how did you keep it between the vents. Could you post a pic?

Did not take a pic, but basically keep the cotton in-between the horizontal vents. Take enough cotton so that it fits tightly. Will have to do a DIY to use an old ambipur container to hold the cotton. Hopefully that will also work.

May be we could also use a sponge instead of cotton which get fits in the vents. Am not sure how far it work.

Re: How does your car smell

Cotton is working perfect. It's 7 days since I put it inside the car, so far I haven't "refilled" it. 2-3 drops of Lemon Grass Oil for a week's citric-like smell is good enough for me. The bottle I have (50ml) will last for more than a year.

Is the black ice gel based? I have the black crystal and it is a jute based mild perfume. The packaging looks similar between the black ice and black crystal, any difference in the perfume strength and the type of perfume (gel?).
