Grace Mate Poppy car perfume review

Hi guys, My review of the Grace Mate Poppy perfume is here. I have been using this product for more than two months and it's awesome. For starters I will list out the price, flavour etc.

Price: INR Rs 250/-

Flavour of the perfume:Hibiscus

This is a very fragrant perfume and keeps out all the bad odour away from the car. If your car's perfume does not smell nice, then follow these steps.

Keep the A/C in clean air mode.

Open the windows for five minutes.

Open the perfume bottle and close the windows.

This perfume is very nice and you can get rid of the bad boy of the town: Ambi pur. The Grace Mate Poppy perfume is worth each penny but many people who didn't see this:http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/modifi...e-harmful.html are thinking that Ambipur is the best car perfume in the reckoning. Also,The Ambipur is 100 Rs cheaper than the Poppy but for 100 rupees you can save your car's plastic and head unit.

Comparison with Concept Car Cologne Perfume: This is an ideal comparison between two equally capable car perfumes. My only niggle with the Concept perfume: The car gets a pungent smell if you get it near a dirty place. Also, the perfume does not rectify this issue at all but the grace mate perfume does it super effectively.

Conclusion: This is a VFM and extremely nice product to have and it does not harm your car's dashboard like the Ambipur.

Cheers,

Achyuth

I have been using this for last 4 months in my both cars. The product is good and much much better than the Ambipur perfumes. The one (posted above) which can be placed on the dashboard is better than the ones placed on the air vents. I brought them from a automotive dealer for Rs. 260 each (got the Blue and Green ones). Both smells are pleasant, only issue which I found was that when kept under sunlight, it evaporates quite fast and the car gets filled with perfume, otherwise this product from Godrej is perfect for car owners.

The original Godrej case looks good, but it could not stick well on dashboard. Also with slightest tilt, liquid was spilling off. So, I had transferred all the perfume to my old Grandy perfume case.

Re: How does your car smell

I bought a My Shaldan car gel (Lemon) three weeks back from MGA. The smell of the interiors were very pleasant and inviting for the first two weeks. But then what I obeserve is that from third week, the odour and smell of the gel has reduced drastically. For me to ensure that I have a car freshener, I have to take the mouth of the gel can near the air vents everytime to get some nice peppy smell inside the car.

From the reviews here, I presume that Areon is very good and lasts long compared to My Shaldan. I am planning to order one online and thinking over which flavour to go for.

Areon users, could you please post your experience which would help choosing the best one?

I too got shaldan lime (thanks to the reviews for identifying the original one) initial impressions are very good, better than ambipur, godrej or glade. The mild smell is refreshing and gave me a new car feel. I didn't remove the flap, just lifted it a bit and still it's giving out a pleasant smell. If it lasts for 40-45 days I'll be more than happy.

Sir, I didn't faced any issues on placing it on the dashboard. Either you have got a faulty one or while installing the seal must have got damaged.
There is no spilling from the product even when it is tilted.

You can see the image from my Alto K10's dashboard. The double tape is also good enough to hold it in Delhi's heat. Till now, no problems from my side and I can recommend it.

Re: How does your car smell

Symphony, how is the fragnance? Is it strong? I am using Godrej AER blue color for the past 1 month. The fragnance is ok, but its not strong enough.

Does anyone have a link to purchase Areon perfume?

Hi guys,

The best natural deodorizer is CAMPHOR.
I use these tablets. Usually put one in AC duct, run AC for a min in FAN mode.
It last for a day and car smells fresh.....

I bought the Areon Wish on 7th March and there is still around 40% of the gel in the tin. Long lasting for sure and it still smells good.

The gel has hardened a bit, on the surface only though but the smell is as good as it was on day-1.

Fragrance is dependent on the heat the bottle receives. It evaporates and the good smell fills in the car.
When I park my car under the sun, the fragrance is strong and can be felt even from outside the car. It's not a perfect product but better than most of the available options. By the way, the pictures are of the blue ones only .
I'm yet to test the green one which I will use soon. Green seems to be more pleasant. This blue one lasted around 2.5 months in the great summer heat of Delhi.

http://www.ebay.in/sch/i.html?_trksi...at=0&_from=R40

I usually buy in bulk as in ~5-6 tins for my cars and my friends' cars from that seller (I think his ID is carlooks or something). I get my package the very next day, or in 2 days flat!

Re: How does your car smell

I deviated from my usual My Shaldan Squash freshener and recently bought an Areon Wish gel-based one. Honestly, I did not like this particular fragrance. It smells strongly like an after-shave lotion. It was a big turnoff for everyone who got into my car. I am going back to my fruit flavoured fresheners!
