Thanks a lot.

Yes it is. One of my friends i Gurgaon got this done on his esteem. It cost him about INR 17000. Not sure how much it will cost for a Zen.

Esteems always come with HPS, EPS cannot be fixed in Esteem.

Hmm..I didnt know that Esteem came with HPS only...didnt the earlier Zens also come with HPS?

@ Alias - I'm not sure if you can get an aftermarket fitment of EPS done on your Zen. I was under the assumption that all Maruti cars came with EPS (or rather now come with EPS).

AFAIR, The new zen came with a EPS, the old ones were HPS only, i could be wrong here this one mostly shared some mechanicals with the esteem.

I want to upgrade the brakes on my Zen 2003 Euro II .
As per the info collected i need to use Zen Diesel Knucles & Hubs with Esteem type II Disc and callipers.
Today i went to MASS and asked for the parts and they showed me the spare parts manual for Zen Petrol & Zen Diesel and it was shown the knuckle , hub are same for both of these cars i.e Zen Petrol & Diesel.

Now could someone enlighten me as to how to do the swap?
IS it done just by using the Esteem type II disc , callipers on the existing Zen petrol hubs .Also is it mandatory to upsize to 13" inch rims doing so?

Regards

Hello Friends,

Update on my Zen.

Got a lot more work on my ride. Its come a long a way from what I posted in the beginning of this Thread.

-All sides repainted. Simply because the scratches and dents looked horrible not to mention the black bumpers
-Race Tech 4 in 1 Tachometer installed
-Plati 13" 5.5j wheels and Michelin XM1 165/65 R13 with Nitrogen installed.
-Front Mesh and its frame repainted to suit the bumpers
-Brake Calipers and Rear hubs painted to body color
-Rear Wheel Arches Rolled-in to avoid any tyre scrapping.
-Sun Film Changed to Carbon 20% and Xenos Remote Central Locking installed (Zen LX didn't come with central locking or PW)

Here are some latest pics

How much for the wheels, repainting and the tacho?

Did you get the painting done in MASS?

Rust treatment, tinkering and Repainting sides only - 18k (Smart Cars MASS)
Tachometer - 3000 + 250 fitting = 3250/-

Pictures January 2010

Finally got time to upload and share the recent changes to my ride -

All the black that you see on the body of the car is done through matt stickers.

- Complete Bonnet blackened (one single sheet)
- Sides of windows blackened (multiple strips)
- 'New' Model 4 Stroke 13 Inch Neo Alloys (The design is called 'New')
- Blinking Indicators Covers (Couldnt get the black ones anywhere so will eventually paint them black to match)

No upgrades to the engine yet (other than what was there earlier) but have an FFE and Iridium Plugs in the pipeline.

All this stickering work shouldnt have taken more than 1-2 days at the most but it took me 3 months due to certain availability factors (both mine as well the sticker walas). I will have another post coming up shortly with pictures of the whole stickering process.
