Wanna make mine an E-zen

Hey guys,

i want to tune up my car, i want to put in an esteem engine in the car for much better performance, But also at the same time i want the car to be reliable as well.

well i spoke to a tuner friend of mine who has done up lots of carb engined cars till date, he says we can do 2 things:

1. put in an 8 V block and keep the head of the zen only, get new pistons, rings, engine bearings, esteem clutch plate/p.plate and port / polish the head .

OR

2. get a 16 V Mpfi esteem engine but change it to carb, put in the carb esteems manifold n carb, get new inner parts ( new pistons, rings, engine bearings, esteem clutch plate/p.plate and port / polish the head . )

Now which is better, the 8 v engine ( only block) or the 16 v mpfi engine changed to carb, my tuner says the 16 v has a much better drive and power as compared to the 8v, please help, also if i go for the 16v the cost DOUBLES, so please advice as i wanna start with this project asap.

Also keep in mind while swapping the engine i will retain my old zen engine incase i wanna swap back in future .

Thanks,

Zeeshan

why dont you hook up the mpfi engine itself if you manage to get the ECU, instead of converting the same to carb.
yes the 16 v engine will give you better performance than the 8v.

The engine bay looks nice, but, the air filter is exposed to the elements. How healthy is that? How does the owner manage?

Perfect 14" tyres for a zen??

Hey anyone knows which one is the best rubber for a 14" Rims on a zen!
The size i could normally prefer is 195/40 or 185/40.
I have only a mild tune up (10-15 b.h.p), but i want maximum handling over the corners! Now am running on 195/40 size Hankook Ventus Rubber. Am not that satisfied with it, as it is too hard and very low mileage(Wearing)!
Please help, also help me in knowing whether the same size is available in Yokohama! It is the best brand for all the tuned enthusiasts!

@ WAGON_R: yup i got it from chor bazaar, Cost me 25 K, the engine dealer was a relatives friend so i got a good clean deal, its off a totalled car, he told me the engine was 07 model, i had the enitire chamber and head opened to check the engine and it was in mint condition, even the mounts were in great condition, all i need to do is open the entire engine, get it cleaned, refixed , port / polish n were off.

@ rohan_fonseca : about the suspension i plan to drive it around for about 500-800 kms without goin over 3000 Rpm to jus set things in, also after that ill see what can be done about the suspensions, Koni is an option but theyre a little exp, Also ive heard that racing shocks give ur chassis a beating, is it true ?? ? any other suggestions,

ill also be getting a strut bar in the front, want to put one in the rear as well but that means removing my entire ICE, now only if i plan to sell it off and put in the strut behing as well that will improve the handling even more.

brakes ive been told by some that if i jus put in a new Alto brake booster and do a few alterations to the existing disc it helps, OR put in the esteem caliper n disc, but i am not sure what to do , HELP. any other suggestions that have been tried n tested ?

You have to first flip the toggle switch to on and then press the button.
