@ DOCG... the E36 316i is a SOHC. its the M40 Engine ( thing you are confusing it with the later M44 ).

hey i posted the interior pics on the first page itself!

As regards to the teaser that Arush has shown me, trust me guys he's been toying with my emotions by croppin up all sorts of modded E36's that at this point, im soo confused which way to go. I think i'll start by restoring this car into a daily driver condition by replacing windshield, new beeding, paintjob and new wheels, because just ordering the engine and the performance parts will take a while. So slow n steady is the way.

Appreciate everyones comments and all help is welcome.

Cheers

Ummm actually it's an M43

Not the M40! But it is still an SOHC engine...The M40 was only found on early E36s, then they decided to do away with the timing belt as they did with all their other engines...

Sorry bout the typo before, forgot car was a 316i, thought it was a 318

cheers:

Congrads Abix.. I can visualize this is going to be a looonnngg thread. I would say go all out for a nice wide body with huge wheel arches. When I first read Automatic and saw the pics I was skeptical, then when I read on.... I can only think the letter MMMMMMMMMMMMMMM !!

@ Abix

Slow & steady....all the time to take it easy & go step by step ??? Knowing you - you might find a fancier car by the time this one is completed.

Case in point the AWESOME CEDIA !!!

Just kidding...but if you do deciede on a "supercar" by the time the E36 is ready with all that's planned for it... I think I'll leave it at that !!!!!

Cheers
