Hello All,
Got ourselves a 2002 Hyundai Accent Gls in pretty bad condition on the outside, Multiple dents, scratches, dings, etc on all sides and was definitely not worth Driving in that condition. The tyres were pathetic, they used to skid even on normal braking. The engine was checked at an Authorized Hyundai service centre and found to be in good condition so went ahead and picked it up.The car came fitted with an LPG kit.

What's Capronila?
Well, It is the First 2 letters of the names of my Family members.

List of the Work done on the Car.
New Headlamps (Type 2)
New Tail lamps (Type 2)
New Fog lamps
Type 2 Grill
Spoiler
New Paint Job
Mag Wheels
Upsized Tyres

Your reviews Good or Bad are welcome!

i dont think so he must have paid under 2.25 for that car i guess vtecs are all above 3 and balenos u cud have i guess. i went for the accent because the baleno was too dated. dint really care about the engine bit, everything matters in the end

Nice job buddie. One more sugestion for you.You have to have smoked rear tail lamps to carry forward the black effect to the rear.Even you could have a mesh grill after some time so that the beasty look would be there at the front too.

But it does look pretty good especially the mags!!

@jesal: I got the lights second hand from kurla. They looked as good as new so thought of saving some cash for further stuff.

New Headlamps (Type 2)
New - 2k per piece approx
Old - 650 per piece

New Tail lamps (Type 2)
New - 1050 per piece
Old - 750 per piece

New Fog lamps
Old - 300 pair

Type 2 Grill
New - 550 (local brand) Genuine Hyundai - 1590

@phamilyman: Yeah i would have loved owning an OHC but there were a lot of drawbacks i felt while TDing one at a showroom , the most prominent one was the ultra low seating which my dad wasnt comfortable with. The baleno was out as it looked outdated. And ya a good conditioned OHC was not fitting the budget, so picked up the Accent for 2.2l

@Ram: Thanks bro. Didnt want to smoke the tail lamps as the coating comes out over the time which would make it look crap. I wanted to add a mesh grill but was not allowed by folks at home. Will try to put in the mesh behind the OEM grill.

@hell_Raiser: Thanks,I have the before pics but its not getting transfered from my phone to my laptop, giving some connection error, will try to post later. The interiors arnt that great, It has Beige artificial leather seat covers which will be changed next month, kinda out of cash after the restoration. Else the panelling etc is in good conditioned and maintained well. the car is a 2002 model and was picked up for 2.2l.

@agspins: Thanks bro, will be a good idea if u get the right car at a good price and its definitely worth the expense you will do on it. I paid 2.2l and recieving arnd 10 kmpl, still have to calculate the mileage after the tyre upsize.
