My Turbocharged Swift - narrated by Vikram_D

Why go all the way till Mumbai for TC'ing when tuners here in Bangalore can do it?

Yes all models of swift can be TC'ed.

Not at all difficult. M.A.S.S should be able to handle the service provided the internals have not been upgraded. The turbo does not requrie any special care. It only needs to spooled up and down for 30 seconds before and after a drive.

No other mods are necessary if you are looking at 6 - 7 pounds of boost. ABS is preferred. Suspension is already pretty stiff in a swift. Max you might need strut braces.

vikram i am guessing you are talking from personal experience - saw in your garage that you got a 6psi done , don't think you had it on the last tbhp meet do you have or plan to have a separate thread going for details on your exact experience - specifically details on installer, price, performance, reliability (how long have you had it), other costs and precautions involved while servicing, etc.

There isn't much on these aspects on the howto turbo thread

let me know if you want me to pm you for info on your setup

@Jassi - Yes I am talking from personal experience. Done want to hijack Gemballa's thread. A detailed review will be coming up shortly. I've had it for 2 weeks now and already done 2500 kms.

Will be glad to give you more details over PM.

I am using the scorpio's intercooler and it is vertically mounted. I did not have to do any cutting to fit it. In fact even my car's A/c is intact.

Pics and reviews will take time to come up as I am running short of time at this moment to sit down and write a review.

The external mods that I have can be looked up in the gallery. For performance mod I have turbo setup running at 6psi boost with completely stock internals. The only upgrades being an Exedy stage 2 clutch and an enlarged throttle body. Everything else is stock.

Yes I used to live in JP Nagar 3rd Phase while my house was under construction. But have moved back into my own house now.

And finally the man has found time , thanks to our moderator for having put up this new thread.

Vikram enough of story telling now, put up a thread with your experience.Last time we spoke over a few beers you said the thread will be up soon.
How about a Saturday early morning drive to test this or do we wait till the Yelagiri drive is on ?
