why is the intake pipe so elongated ? was there any constraint that the CAI could not be placed in order to have a shortened intake pipe.?

the distance of the CAI from the throttle body affects the powerband range (IIRC).

a baleno swift is 80-84hp stock with the mentioned mods it would be max 95-100hp. the turbo swift is 107hp and much lighter than the baleno engine so therefore it is quicker... the turbo swift also produces 107hp in 4 seconds and the baleno produces 95-100hp in 6-8 seconds here is where the tswift really shines...as for the pipe we are movin it around but wiith the bigger engine space is a problem as for takin out an rs not sure about that but i sure am not scared of any 3.0 litre accords as i have one and i ripped it down

That's a 1.3 twincam turbo. Done by Team FS from Mumbai.

@gembella
Is it a real pain, mounting the engine? Or a few modifications to the mounts do the trick?
Is there space inside for a turbo?
Just out of curiosity: What did your friend do to the old engine?

A 1.6L engine into the Swift sounds exciting. Please update this thread from time-to-time, and put up more pics please. Any plans of putting a turbo!!??

There's also a swift with a similar conversion running here in bangalore. But I agree with gemballa it is nowhere as quick as a tc'ed swift.

What would the cost of converting a swift into a b-swift come up to? Is it more than the turbo swift or lesser??

My friend has an 1.6L Swift too. If it is the red one with Original Swift Sport tail-lamps, we are talking about the same car.
