Old topic, but does anyone have any experience with the CT12 turbo ?
CT12 vs T20 for a F10D engine.

No Zen will take an 8psi boost with stock internals without frying the internals. Max you should be looking at, on the Zen is 4-5 psi.

Fitting a turbocharger in petrol MPFI Zen

I would request for some advise on possibility of reto-fitting a turbocharger in a petrol MPFI Zen.

Following are the details :
- It is Stock engine on 2001 Zen Vxi Mpfi.
-Location : Kolkata.
- Would like to fit a turbocharger with intercooler.

Need advise on the following :

- which workshop can do the fitment ?
-Which make of components are available to buy ?
- any additional procedure is reqiured alongwith ? For example ECM re-programming etc?
- an idea of the tentative cost involved.

Experienced members kindly advise.

It would be cheaper and much better commercially and technically to go for Esteem engine rather than turbo in Zen.

Here are my two cents.

Esteem block is a direct fit in ZEN engine bay, so go for it and then get the turbo-charger in + change in air-filter & exhaust. This setup itself will give you a 10 second car(0-100 in 10 seconds).

Here in Bangalore Raj (from Jayanagar) is a very famous tuner who does these jobs. Infact we have a lot of E-Zens here(i.e. Zen fitted with esteem blocks). One of my close friends had got his Zen done here and won quite a few races(Hill Climb sorts). Although now he owns a pimped up VTec and the Zen is gone
