I think 3M provides a treatment for the entire car which is very good from what I have heard. Waiting for others to comment.

Yes, 3M has wide range of car care products right from car wax/shampoo/tyre dresser/windshield cleaner/petrol & diesel tank additive etc etc. These products are good and and reliable. I'am currently using these on my car and it seems to be good.

Please go through this site. I bought on Car Care Kit for Rs. 375/- from them. One of the representative was at the Fueling station and result was quite impressive for me for that low price.

i have used 3M. you can call up sundaram on kasturba road and ask for 3M dept. its good but i felt the gloss was not much unless your car is already faded, etc. i see some cars with super sexy gloss. i wonder what they use.

3M products are good one for sure they have wide range of products.

another thing what i have found is once in 2 years its better to do Polion treatment on the car paint and they clean the interiors as well.

They are located in BTM layout near 16th main and charge 3500 for Innova exterior treatment and interior cleaning.

They give warranty as well.

Their mobile number: 9243442328.

I have heard quality of work is quiet good since they are into this business from many years. they use products imported from UK I guess.

Regards,

Ravi.

sounds yummy. But only thing is that the application of these products to make your car better does eat a lot of time. The professionals do come to your home to service, but will charge you heftily. Once in a month, we can try out these products.

Look for professional Car Detailing Salons. They have treatments and packages for all cars. I guess Car mags would be the best place to look. I'm told 3M does detailing jobs and that they're good. There is a Car Salon based in Mumbai and I've signed up for a detailing job with them. They've done one on my friend's Ikon and they're really really good. I'm sure most Auto shows/ exhibitions would have at least one such.

One more thing about the teflon coating the dealers and body shops claim. It is nothing but wax polish and some paint protection coat applied with the buffing machine(handheld). Teflon coats is what you see in your non stick cookwares. If you have to have teflon coat it should be done at the sheet metal level in the factory itself. I dont think anyone does that. The person who does the so called teflon coating for the dealers was willing to do it for me at my place for 2000 bucks(un officially). Whereas the dealer charges 3500 bucks. However the dealer offers few free services for 3500bucks.

3M car detailing is the best I have ever come across and it has worked wonders on my car. I would strongly recommend that to anyone looking for the best value package money can buy. Also, IMO it would be a better bet to get the same done at a 3M exclusive dealer/distributor than at the automobile showrooms for the following reasons:

1. You get better service (as detailing is the only job being done there)and you get to see when it is done. Am not sure if the customer is allowed to be present when the treatment is done in a showroom.

2. You get a better chance to bargain and get the best for the money you pay.

3. You get to see what exactly is done to your car and also the different materials that are being used to carry out the treatment.

3M is good. They have shampoo, polish, tyre cleaner, windsheild cleaner etc. But they don't have Rubbing compound.

I think 3M car care is the best for interior & exterior treatment. Also they have engine care products.
Normal teflon coating will last for max 5 washes but 3Ms premium liquid wax will last for 25 washes or 1year. They may give guarenty for this.
The changes are visible & very good. Interiors will feel fresh.

If it is a old car there are other products like engine dresser, choke & carb cleaner, fuel injection cleaner, fuel additive etc. This will clean the engine system.

This will be available with all the dealers (one place I saw is near BMTC depot at Indiranagar)

Snaronikar is getting his car treatment today, may be he can post his views.

I once read about this husband - wife duo who were into car detailing in Mumbai. Heard some good things about them, though a while back. Forget the name....
