Navpreet, HKS civic kit is not launched yet, but its definitely on the way.

Also, imho, the mugen kit appeals to me more than the type r bumper.

Yes definitely in this case.the build quality is not up to the par for such an expensive kit.from what i've heard its 80k.not worth it.so when is this HKS kit coming in.i have been hearing about it since a long time and have been keeping myself from spending on other stuff for the car.like exhaust and intake etc.

Hmm... Then stick with it, anyway it is difficult to see such subtleties unless you see the car in person. I am sure it must be looking great!

It is for the R18. I guess its going to take a while for this kit to get going. HKS in India is still testing with the SX4 kit, I doubt they still have got anyone to volunteer for the Civic project? I could be wrong. Let me ask the people concerned and I shall post the details here shortly.

but people abroad do have the R18 Civics right.Its not like this kit is specially tailored for india.So how does it concern anyone volunteering their civic in india.there will be scores of people abroad more than willing to do it.

So is the kit available abroad?

I guess except for US & Canada, R18 engine is available in all other regions.

Its not as simple as just bringing a kit from a similar spec engine abroad and plonking the kit here. There are lot of factors such as dust condition on our roads, temperature, fuel quality etc that need to be looked at.

From what I hear, all these kits are specific to Indian cars. Perhaps even running slightly smaller turbos than abroad. Amongst other stuff.

Oh! Sharan & Bobby uncle are in a different league all together. For them builds like this is about achieving the next level, every bhp that can be milked out of that engine. Most of their builds aren't necessarily streetable if you know what I mean. Everyday something new is added to their cars, sometimes the mods alone costing more than the whole car itself.

Have not bought one yet, but Civics are easily available here in the 2nd hand market, so
