Re: Cosmetic restoration of a 10-year old Toyota Fortuner 4x4 AT, after buying it from Delhi

This has to be the best modification/restoration done, it looks amazing, especially the Fortuner (still has its charm and the D4D is amazing), considering you spent 20L on this, it is very vfm. Looking back at the pics you attached it looks like a top notch job in every aspect but the final cost is still better than spending that on 'wannabe SUVs'.

I must say I have never seen a build like this in India, this is the perfect balance between Practicality and Comfort.

Also how did you find these shops, and how did you transport your vehicle to them? I'm also looking into modifications for my Pajero but not sure what authentic shops to look for.

Re: Cosmetic restoration of a 10-year old Toyota Fortuner 4x4 AT, after buying it from Delhi

Few questions regarding your Fortuner:
1) Any height changes with the new suspension? It's not clear from the pics shared, but I felt height has increased.

I bought 2" lifted springs and cut them to about .75" at front and .5" at rear axle.

2) Where are you in Ottappalam? My hometown is also close by

Palappuram.

3) Looks like a good deal for Yokohama Geolanders. Are they easily available?

They are 275/65R17 available.

4) Do these Delhi car dealers charge commissions? How much commission and is it included in 12.5 L?

No separate commission i assume about 50K to 75K is for the broker. They do a lot of cars - almost every day i see him deliver a car on his WhatsApp status.

5) Did you get the Car color change endorsed on RC?

Colour change not done yet as we fwlt it will pass off as white depending on the sunlight. The process is easy though. About 2000 Rs and ahow the car at RTO. The new Regn card takes ages to reach though.

Tasteful modification @Doppelkuplung! The choice of colors for both body and wheels add a significant charm. I believe the best part is how you chose to do the grill and bonnet scoop. This is a great mod overall and I am sure many would want to follow this design now. This is classic!
