Likes -
  • Robust build.
  • Digital display.
  • Less sound.
  • Rubber stands.
  • Good LED light.
  • Full metal nozzle.

Dislikes -
  • Small display.
  • Would have appreciated Set, - and + buttons a tad bigger.
  • Wire length (280 CM).

The Handy bag - Love the bag, its cute .

Appearance & build - It is robust as it is made from metal (most portions covered with plastic), has good plastic quality with no rough edges anywhere. The dual tone color does make it stand out. The power and light button are big and gives good click feedback but others (set, - , + ) are just okay.

Cord length - Around 280 CM (about 9 ft) enough to get the job done.

Rubber stand - It has four tiny rubber stands which provides good traction and keep it steady while its ON.

The Nozzle - It's fully metal give solid feel and has textured finish which will help should your hands get wet.

Digital screen - Small but very useful. Its better to have digital reading compared to shaky analog needle reading. It offers blue background light. I underestimated the light during the day but at night its was pretty good.

Four modes - Shows value in 4 types i.e. PSI, BAR, KPA & Kg/cm.

How to use
  • Insert the 12V connector into the socket.
  • Turn the car keys to accessory mode. The display will come to life.
  • Screw the nozzle of the air hoze onto the value of the tyre. After you are done, the display will show you the current pressure the tyre has. If its less than the recommended/desired press the + button to increase the pressure (in .5 increments) after that press the set button and then the power button. As soon as you press the button the compressor will turn on.
  • It will cut off automatically after the set pressure is achieved.

Noise, Vibrations - Compared to other inflators it is quiet, has bass sound rather than high pitch irritating sound. Does vibrate and stays in its position thanks to rubber stands.

Reducing tyre pressure - Either you can press the value and release the air and then screw the nozzle back and check the pressure in the display and do it all over again to reach the desired pressure or (my method) when you unscrew the nozzle there is a point where you hear air releasing noise, just hold it there (stop unscrewing) as air is releasing you can see the pressure dropping in the display. (the reading are not accurate as the nozzle is loose but gives you an idea of the pressure, its usually 1-2 PSI off. You can screw nozzle back to check the accurate pressure)

Lights in action - Blue light for the small display is plenty for the night and the big led light is good too.

Conclusion - It's elegant, robust, has digital display (small though) and good LED light. The biggest shortcoming is the wire length.

Re: Honda Tyre Inflator Review

Thank you for this review. I have an Amazon Basics inflator that I have for 3 years now and works like a charm, have similar function as this one.

Only thing that bothers about these is that threaded end we need to tighten on the valve. The other type(I do not know what that is called) where we just flip a clip to attach and detach is more convenient and hassle free.

Re: Honda Tyre Inflator Review

The compressor looks very elegant

Is it fast, to be usable for an SUV tyre, let's say 17"rims.
Have to tried to fill the tyre from less that 10psi to 35psi?

Some stats would be helpful.
