They seem to have added quite a few interesting options to their range, alas one does not get them in the market !!
Probably you should try calling one Mr.Johnson (+91 9790912676). He is the HELLA area manager for Chennai. He supported me in sourcing 500FF for my car. He might be able to give you the right pointers. Tell him that his name was recommended by a Team BHP member.

Hey ricky,

Not sure if you already got the stuff you were looking for, but in any case, there is an authorized retailer for Hella products in Pallika Bhavan by the name of Matta Car interiors. The owner's name is Jaspal Singh Matta.

I do not have his number on my cell, but if you want, I will PM his number sometime in the evening.

In case you need somebody in Gurgaon, then let me know. I think I would be able to assist you with the details.

Drive safe.

Thanks very much for the information. I would prefer Gurgaon. All the accessory stores here normally palm off fakes or do not have most of the stuff. So a reliable source would definitely help.

@rajeshsundaram, thanks for the help..

Cheers

Re: HELLA dealer / availability in India

Snapdeal has cataloged many Hella products online at very competitive prices. These days Snapdeal also has a promotion of 10% off on all auto products (promotion code will be floating on lower right corner of the computer screen).

I recently bought Hella headlamps from Snapdeal. Price was lower than all the 2-3 shops I inquired locally. On delivery, packaging was good with generous amount of bubble wrap used to cover the retail packaging. Item arrived within 4-5 days of placing the order.

They are also available on Ebay and Homeshop 18 though a cursory look seems to suggest that Snapdeal has a better range.

Hi,

Just yesterday placed an order for Hella Micro DE from Snapdeal for my i10 Sportz - only reason being it was a full Rs.1200 lesser than what any dealer in Bangalore had quoted me. Interestingly the Hella India site quotes Rs. 5600 odd for the Micro DE. Awaiting the order with fingers crossed. I hope they are not fakes or with contents like relay, switch, bulbs etc missing.. will keep you posted.

Also I am confused between Hella Black Magics and Hella 3000 FF as Aux lights for my Safari Dicor. Any valuable suggestions from the Light gurus?

Have you installed Micro DE in your i10? How is the performance? I want Micro DE for my Safari Dicor for near field illumination. Could you post picture and above all your review of Micro DE.

Re: HELLA dealer / availability in India

Yeah, although Hella Micro DE is pretty good, it was not better than my stock fog lamps. GV has excellent fog lamps, which couldn't be improved by Micro DE.

Re: HELLA dealer / availability in India

My Hella Experience

I have been experiencing a pretty impressive customer support from Hella and my friend and fellow bhp-ian suggested to post my experience on this thread for the benefit of others.

Here it goes :
My Ford Ecosport TDCI - Titanium (Jan 2014) came with factory fitted Wipers of below par performance. If I am not wrong the company name is Motorcraft. Being in Cochin, (Kerala) the wipers went through extreme weather conditions like regular rains, soaring temps at open area parking (Office) and of-course loads of dust and dirt, thanks to bad roads and Kochi Metro rail.
I have tried my level best to safeguard the life of the wipers, thanks to TBHP. But after about 8-10 months it started showing its age and I was forced to change them.

Going through the ownership thread, I learned about the poor quality of stock wipers from Ford and fellow bhpians suggested HELLA Wiper Blades. http://www.hella.com/hella-sg/118.html?rdeLocale=en
As per Bhpian - arunphilip's suggestion I got to know about Hella's Range of Wipers. He has been using Dynaedge wipers on his Ecosport and told me about http://automotivesoul.com/ to buy them from. I got my 22' Hella DynaEdge Wiper and 16" Hella Curvo Wipers (Curvos are an upgrades from DynaEdge which are now discontinued) in about 8 days as they were shipped from Delhi.

The prices for both came to something around 950 INR (DynaEdge is frameless, and Curvos are new aerodynamic ones with soft frames) while Ford Offered the stock ones at 1200 INR in total. Pretty decent buy, and I was pretty satisfied with the service of Automotive soul and also on the performance of both the Wipers.

After about a month of installation, the longer 22' DynaEdge Wipers (Framelss) started making noise while wiping on rain. The noise was not regular and sounded more like a scratching noise than squeaky. While the smaller blade (Curvo) was still impressive.

Link to my post on new wiper blades : Link

Moving into the 3rd and 4th Month, it worked seamlessly on heavy rains but made noise on moderate rain or drizzle. I got it checked by Ford and dit get this checked while I did a car detailing. But about a few weeks back, I decided to push this across to Automotive Soul and then to Hella for a replacement.

On Aug 24th : I emailed automotive soul on the issue and asked for a repair on inspection, and in a day below is the response I got from them

Aug 25th :
Email from Automotive Soul -

"Dear sir
Thanks for writing to us.
Warranty is provided by the Hella company only. Have you checked whether the rubber is cut on the blade or intact? If its cut, then there is no warranty for that.

For claiming the warranty, you will have to ship the blade to us. We will show it to the company and they will replace the blade if the rubber is intact at all places and there is no other physical damage to the blade. We will then ship it to you.

Alternatively, you can call up the Hella Customer Care No at 1800 103 5405 (or the secondary option is to email them at iamsales.hil@hella.com). When you call them, tell them you had bought the blades from the Hella Authorised Retailer M/s Chawla Auto Sales (our parent company) from Khan Market in New Delhi a few days back (they will hesitate to replace a blade bought 4 months back since there is no particular guideline for warranty of blades) while you were in New Delhi. They will then direct you to the nearest Hella service centre where they will inspect the blade and replace it if its intact.

Also, we now have the Curvo 22” blade in stock. Its price is Rs 546.25 while the MRP is Rs 575. The price is lower as compared to the Dyna blade. You can order it if you want although its still not uploaded on the website.

Feel free to contact us for any query.

Thanks and regards
Team Automotive Soul"

Without delay on the same day I dropped in a mail to Hella email id provided by Automotive Soul, mentioning that I am a teambhp member and told them that I am dissatisfied with the performance of the blades.

Aug 26th :

By about 12 in the noon, I got a call from Hella Customer Support inquiring about the issue and he apologized for the defect and also told me that they had discontinued DynaEdge and now they only have Curvos. He asked me to be patient and said will call me back with a solution to the same.
In about an hours time, I again received a call from the same person (Rahul) and he told me that, he has informed the regional service head and will arrange for an inspection and replacement shortly.

Pretty satisfied with the support and assistance from him. I've always felt that mentioning my association with T-BHP did the trick. ( I had read another article on one of the BHPians experience with Hella, and the response he received)

On Aug 27th :
I was on the way home (Wayanad) mid way I am getting a call from Mr. Johnson. I had read his name mentioned even in this thread, from what I understand he is the head of Sales and Service in south.
Well spoken gentleman, who had the courtesy to Apologize for the experience and asked me to get to their Authorized Distributor in Cochin - Poomkudy Auto Service Ltd (Thammanam Road, Palarivattom) and assured me of a replacement with a superior Curvo Blades.
I told him that I am back in Cochin only on Monday 31st Aug and he assured me of an appointment based on my convenience.
He had In Fact dropped in a detailed mail for me to go about marking the personnel at Poomkudy with instructions on replacing mine with a brand new Curvos.

I would have got the replacement the same day, but since I was travelling; i got to the store on Tuesday.

Sept 1st : Morning 10:00 -:15
I walked into the pretty large office/godown of Poomkudy Autos in Cochin and inquired about the person by name Binu. In about a minute, he came walking to me and introduced himself and also asked about the issue. I got the wipers as requested and took me to the godown and got me a new one after checking with the GoDown Manager.

I saw that the packing was not perfect (the plastic cover on the blade was off the strip and a could see a small dent on blade) I realised the same only after opening the cover and he instantly got a new piece for me.

He also asked me whether I need any assistance in the same and I thanked him and his colleagues who helped me in the same. And there I drive of with a brand new Hella Curvos within 3o minutes I got into their office.

For me the whole experience has been completely remarkable, back in my office I did not hesitate to write a mail to Mr. Johnson and his team for the splendid support they had given for a wiper blade almost just 500 Rs. That's what customer support means.

And the effort from Automotive Soul to write a sensible mail is also much appreciated.

Till now the best customer support I had received was from Mahindra, and Ford's support has been disastrous. What Hella proves is that " its all about relationship and value they showcase", so is Automotive Soul.

And for people in Cochin. For anything from Horns/Bulbs etc from Hella, there is an authorized distributor called AM Motors in Palarivattom, and everything other that the above like Wipers - the place is Poomkudy Auto Service Ltd. (The same guys who have the Force/HM showrooms).

Happy Customer :
