Re: Detailing Mafia, OMR, Chennai | Very poor interior cleaning service

Today morning got a call from service attender and he says that as it is 10 year old car so dirt will be removed step by step in consecutive interior cleaning process over the period and also mentioned that as there was lot of work involved so cost is on higher side and admitted invoice is incorrectly generated mentioning as Viper package.

I told him the dirt which I highlighted and shared to him in WhatsApp was very much possible with a simple vacuum cleaning and doesn’t require lot of work todo. Even regular car wash centers clean it when they do vacuum. Anyway he agreed and asked to bring the car next time where they will do the job as per my satisfaction. On a side note he requested whether this post can be removed and I told I shared my experience here and if any other bhpian have a positive experience and want to share then they will very well continue in this thread.

Thanks!
The Detailing Mafia in Neelankarai, ECR is a good place. I gave my BMW for full body PPF and they did an excellent job. Try checking that place out, the people who run the place are knowledgeable too and they ensure that your money spent is worth it.

It is almost the same case with 3M in chennai. I and my friend visited two 3M outlets (OMR and Thiruvanmiyur) and both did a shoddy work. They charged 4.2K for Slavia and 3.7K for Ecosport. Though they did a good job in upholstery cleaning (removed some strains) but the overall interior cleaning wasn't good.

@Chennai folks, please suggest any good detailing shops in OMR. Went to OCD and they asked us to take appointment prior to visit.

You can check the Chennai directory thread where there are quite a few good detailers mentioned. Most detailers are behind large ceramic coating/PPF implementations and may not do a great job of just interior cleaning.

Though not in OMR, my personal recommendation would be
Drive Clean (Interior & Exterior Detailing - Drive Clean (Chennai)) Bharan is a passionate detailer and does only 1 car a day. You can try speaking to him.

Dear Mods - Kindly add this to relevant thread if this is not the right one. Thanks!

Thanks!
Small world! I miss what you have got there!

Incidentally, I shortlisted this same shop for my X1 and Thar PPF work. Now I need to think I believe.

Most of these small places don't have a proper price structure, they bend the prices based on their availability and business flow of that day/ week. Its better to go with some references if its a first visit. Or choose a bigger brand where we have someone to talk to in such cases, sometimes their prices are competitive too, myTVS and 4K car care in Chennai offer decent prices.
On the contrary they are a franchise and depending on the franchise owner you also get very solid service levels.

I only use Detailing Mafia Anna Nagar branch, even got my ppf done there. It's owner is almost always in office, is very passionate about cars and the crew is extremely professional.

I am guessing that the OMR branch is a different franchise owner ergo the rubbish levels of service.
