So I decided to skip this upgrade due to the below 2 reasons:

1. Fitment in Steel Rims could be tricky and may cause leaks. Spoke to a dealer and he was ready to fit these, but reviews on his own Google business page had issues related to leakages.
2. I installed the Treel TPMS App on my iPhone and opened it on CarPlay - The app was crashing after a few seconds every time I opened it on CarPlay.

Re: Treel Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) Review

I purchased four Treel TPMS sensors recently and got these sensors installed last week. I was using SensAiry earlier and one of my SensAiry sensors died on 25 May, after 3 years and 8 months of use. Anticipating that other three sensors might fail soon, I opted for Treel.

Cost of four sensors = ₹1800
Installation cost = ₹800

Which shop did you install the TPMS sensors?

Was there a need to replace the valves?

Re: Treel Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) Review

Attention Treel Users and Prospective Installers:

Please be aware that the Treel app has significant privacy concerns. The app does not function without background location access and then it continuously tracks your location every few minutes, even when you are miles away from your car !

This is despite already having nearby device permissions, which should be sufficient for the app to work with the sensors.

I have raised this concern with the them multiple times, but they continue to offer illogical excuses.

Attached is a screenshot showing how frequently the app accesses your location. Please consider this information before using or installing the Treel app.

I got the sensors installed at SLD Tyres, Domlur. They had previously installed SensAiry TPMS in my car.

Yes, new valves came with the sensors. I had SensAiry provided metal valves earlier, but those did not work with Treel, hence used the valves came with Treel sensors.

The following video should help to understand how installation is done. This was made during installation in my friend's S-Cross.

Picked a set of 4 up for my XL6, By the way, wonder what is the difference between this 799 one and the 1799 set? Both look exactly the same!

Re: Treel Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) Review

I had got this installed a few months back on my new Honda Elevate from a local JK tyre dealer. Note that the Honda Elevate already has a low tyre pressure alert. I still thought of getting an external one installed. It cost me Rs. 4,000 including everything. However, in the Delhi heat, my experience after installing these has not been great.

1) The readings on the app never match the readings at the pumps (tried a lot). They are always way one or two points here and there.

2) I found that in extreme heat, there was a lot of variation in the readings on the app. The recommended pressure for my front is 33 and for the rear is 32. During peak heat (May) when I was travelling long distance, the temperature of the tyres shot up to 60 and tyre pressure shot up to 40+. I had set up the app to raise a decently audible sound alarm (on the phone) when the temperature and/or the pressure goes beyond a safe reading. This kept raising the alarm at least 3-4 times during my 8 hour drive. Since this was the first time I was using a TPMS in any car, I thought this might cause some damage (to the wheel) as I was driving at peak speeds. I actually went ahead to look for a petrol station and deflated the tyres by a few psi. The next time this happened, I kept ignoring it. Post that, I have never bothered to look at the readings, unless I go for refueling to see if I really need an air top up. I also wonder if this is really a required accessory if it ends up causing anxiety.

Re: Treel Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) Review

I purchased Skyshop C240 Pro External sensors from Amazon on March 9. They worked as expected for about 4 months.

Treel Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) Review-screenshot-20240724-8.20.388239am.png

Now on July 3, I noticed that air is leaking from the rear right tyre (with sensor attached). I got puncher checked and the valve. No issues found. Came back (sensor attached), parked the car overnight only to find the tyre completely flat next morning. Refilled the air, removed the sensor, and then no issues. It was still detecting the correct tyre pressure but was leaking air. After a few days same issue occurred with rear left tyre. The front two sensors are still working without any leaks.

Usually our car is always parked in shade, but one day it was parked in direct sunlight for about 2-3 hours. The display (which shows the tyre pressure) overheated and was behaving strangely. The colour of the display faded and was not getting switched off. Came back to normal behaviour once the temperature came down. Also, I have only charged this once when I first unboxed it and since they never required charging (obviously working on Solar Charging).

Overall a decent product, with super easy installation. Will now get in touch with their support team to get new pair of sensors.

Re: Treel Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) Review

I have been using Treel TPMS for 3 weeks now. Here are few observations:

Cold tyre pressure reported by Treel TPMS is 1 psi less than my digital pressure gauge.

I am trying to understand why the rear sensors are reporting higher tyre pressure while driving, although temperature is less than the front tyres.

Cold tyre pressure at start:

Treel Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) Review-ts.jpg

After about 10 km drive:

Treel Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) Review-te.jpg

Although Treel TPMS shown higher temperature for the front tyres, pressure was 2 psi less than the rear tyres. I have a feeling that rear sensors are reporting higher tyre pressure. After Treel TPMS installation I have driven without any passenger or load. I will check if behaviour changes when the vehicle is loaded.

The following screenshot of SensAiry was taken after 2.5 hours of driving and increase was proportionate.

PS. Tyres were filled with nitrogen when above screenshots were taken.

Re: Treel Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) Review

Has anyone broken Treel TPMS so far. The reason for me asking such a Obscure question is that i want to fit this Treel TPMS to my RE shotgun 650 bike, issue that i see in car TPMS and bike TPMS is only the direction of valve and sensor.
The bike Treel TPMS is still priced very high and these car sensors are 4 for 1500 on flipkart.
I have made the purchase and now my plan is to make some adjustements and fix it to alloy wheels of bike.
If someone has done tear down or ever broken this sensor he might help me in telling exact location where i can make hole in sensor without damaging PCB

Re: Treel Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) Review

Installed Treel TPMS on my Honda Elevate for 3000 including alignment and balancing which sounded like a no brainer for me. The car was due for alignment and balancing within a few hundred kilometers, and Honda would have charged around ₹2000 for that alone. So, in theory, I got the TPMS for just ₹1000.

I havent used any other internal TPMS brands so I am not able to compare. While its a big upgrade from the external model got from Amazon at 2000. Its reading was not at all accurate and had to remove it whenever a refill was required.

Treel tends to show fairly accurate reading while the vehicle is stationary. But in motion there are drastistic changes in the reading which sometimes are hard to beleive like 40+psi where 33 was the cold pressure.

I checked with multiple dealers and found that all have different prices. One dealer quoted around 5k+ for the same type which are sold individually. Another one said me to purchase it online and get it installed from them since their price would always be on the higher side.

The devices that are got individually with discounts are that comes with JK smart tyre which where not provided to the actual buyers. Purchasing of 4 as a set still costs around 5k.

The installation process was relatively straightforward but was complicated by the installer. They didn't scan the QR codes before installing the sensors in all the tyres. After installation and balancing, one sensor wouldn't scan. This issue is exactly why I refrained from ordering online, even at a cheaper price. The installer had to use various tricks to identify which tyre had the faulty sensor and then replaced it with a new one.

The installation was okay and I have travelled 400+km in a single stretch after that. No air leaks was found.
However, they have made minor scratches to the alloys

For Android Auto, with the unofficial APK, it works really well.

For iOS, its a huge dissapointment. The interface is completely broken in the large HU of Elevate and the app crashes always. I am planning to get a secondary Android phone for just the car connectivity feature as I am having lots of other issues with CarPlay.

Yes it works. I have tried in my Old Innova with a rather cheap Android system. However, the interface is not that great.

I'm experiencing the same issue with the Front Right tyre. To rule out the possibility of a faulty sensor, I've asked the Honda Service Center to swap just the front tyres. The car is currently in for its 3rd service, so I'll update with any helpful findings once I have them

I totally agree! I am anxiously checking the reading every now and then.
But I am happy that I went for this to satisfy my inner child who wanted this tech added to my car
