Ambient light modification

Was surfing the internet casually and saw a couple cars with nice ambient lights in interiors, work was better than the shit aftermarket strip led which fade with time. I'm looking for the ones which illuminate the foot wells and door pockets and provide a premium look which is not in your face. Plus I don't want a dongle placed in my 12v socket all the time. Any solutions to go around this. Help me out guys

Re: Ambient light modification

Perhaps if you could provide sample images/ videos of the ambience lighting, it would help the members knowing the kind of lighting you are referring to.

As for the dongle, you can get it hardwired with ignition based fuse tap / blank fuse point in fuse panel.

I am scouting for a nice setup too, but haven't come across anything that matches your description. Any more details will be helpful.

Most aftermarket units are just pathetic and cheap

Re: Ambient light modification

Sorry to revive an old thread, but i guess what you and me are looking for is an installer who stocks LED based ambient lightining (the light modules are within L wire only). It is different from projector LED based ambient lightining.

Can any one point me towards an installer who can do a neat job with this in Delhi NCR.

Re: Ambient light modification

I think the Cardi Ambient light kits will be a great match for what you describe as required. Just got one in my Crysta and it looks good. Apologies as i do not have pictures yet but can share on request if needed - please DM. Also, the more important part - cost was INR 8500 for the entire kit which has front dashboard full length strip, all 4 door panels, door opener cavity and the door pocket illumination set up. Color selection is controlled via an app which has options to reduce brightness, change colors but also link the color change with the mic of the phone for sound directed changes. The install took roughly 4-5 hours but that was also due to the fact that the door panels were sent to another shop for the arm rest to be covered since i got seat covers also installed. Shop was in Gurgaon Sector 14 - Sai Seat covers.
