Honda is now offering an Antivirus Cabin Air filter for its cars.

Honda's Antivirus Cabin Air filter has been developed in collaboration with Freudenberg - a global technology group. It is said to provide active protection by reducing the concentration of viral aerosols.

The air filter is made up of multiple layers that capture harmful environmental gases as well as inorganic and biological particles and aerosols. The first microfiber layer is said to inactivate allergens and bacteria, while other layers capture most of the viruses, ultra-fine aerosols, dust and pollen. The activated carbon layer absorbs harmful acidic gases, PM2.5 and particulate matter.

The Active Cabin Air filter is available as a genuine accessory, as an alternative to the standard pollen filter.

I would expect the devil to lie in the details. I don't suppose anyone has a link to the T&C mentioned against the asterisk in the second image?

There is another product posted here (After-Market Cabin Air Filters). The price was Rs 1350 according to dealer. Is this the same or different? To me it looks like the same product but different marketing material.

As per the information provided by my Dealer in Ghaziabad, pricing for this new Anti Virus Cabin Air Filter is Rs. 1,655.

OT, but someone should introduce an antivirus in the brain of Honda executives.

If they don't, Honda might be leaving India in 3-4 years.

I think Honda should start introducing new products, not air filters but new models of cars. New air filter is 'yawn'! Can't even tell how effective it is. For a couple of thousand bucks (filter's cost), there is a poster released. I think Honda needs to understand what to market.

Welcome addition

Honda should seriously consider introducing Air Purifiers to all of their cars like KIA.
The cabin air gets polluted in no time when more than 2 people sit inside with air recirculation mode ON.
We can't drive in the Indian roads especially cities with fresh air intake from outside. The outside air is highly polluted.
