Re: Toilet installed in a Toyota Fortuner

Patrol: What's up with your car standing in the middle of the highway for so long?

Mr Fortuner: Would you like to know the truth really?

Patrol: Otherwise I will rip the hell out of your car.

Mr Fortuner: Thankyou. Here is the way.

Re: Toilet installed in a Toyota Fortuner

For all the cost and trouble involved in the whole process along with the uncomfortable time spent convincing a fabricator or cleaning it afterwards, I would simply buy a dozen buckets stacked and stored in the car and throw them out one by one after each 'emergency'.

While I absolutely abhor the idea, it is much more sensible to carry your shit around and disposing it properly then your idea of throwing the shit around !!!

Re: Toilet installed in a Toyota Fortuner

Energetic reviewer.
While he managed to jump in and out of the improvised restroom with ease, I seriously doubt a slightly overweight person will be able to do the same and also manage to loose his/her pants enroute.

I make sure my passengers eat carefully in my Fortuner so I can’t imagine installing a toilet.
For anyone who’s gone camping, heading to the bushes, in case of an emergency isn’t that big a deal.

But purely from technical viewpoint, it would be interesting to see how they managed to power the faucet and flush tank. Did they have a pressurised water tank? Were they able to retain the spare tire?
Guess we’ll have to wait for episode 2…

Re: Toilet installed in a Toyota Fortuner

This is not why anyone would buy a Fortuner for. An over enthusiastic mind coming out with an innovation just for the sake of it! This is the second news within this week on T-BHP coming from down south on strange vehicle mods. The first one being of those vloggers. Why would anybody simply want to carry dump in their car?

While the third row seats are generally suited for kids, the Fortuner comes with no exception. To fit a commode in that space in a neatly executed process, with a seat to spare is the only thing that needs a mention. The idea of doing that, is just plain ridiculous to me.

I may not have traveled enough (which I have across the country) to see such a thing being done to mode on transport on roads. The vanity vans are an exception. Looks like too much of education, innovation and creativity in the state!

Re: Toilet installed in a Toyota Fortuner

Attention seeking behaviour for the views on social media. I am certain the occupants of the vehicle void their ones and twos at proper places. I do not suppose any driver or maid is so well paid, to evacuate bodily wastes from their sahib's vehicle. However due to the language barrier, most of us cannot fully understand the mechanisms of this contraption.

Just imagine the possible trauma one may suffer, if involved in an accident, whilst voiding.

Re: Toilet installed in a Toyota Fortuner

This just seems like a gimmick in the mad quest to gain views on social media. The money and effort utilised in this total idiocy could have been easily channeled elsewhere in some decent endeavour. Not a big fan of such kind of ridiculous mods. This is the dictionary definition of cringeworthy!

Re: Toilet installed in a Toyota Fortuner

This is what happens when people think out of their rear (pun totally not intended) and shoot videos just for the sake of views

I just regret clicking on this thread while eating breakfast....

Almost fell off reading the second sentence. Exactly my thoughts. The guy is so excited, I thought he'd get in for a try. Glad he did not.

Re: Toilet installed in a Toyota Fortuner

The customization is done by Ojes Automobiles who builds caravans/motorhomes - they build for customers from all over India (including bollywood actors, celebrities, hospitals, Cochin Shipyard etc). And most of these are done with their own patented products. If we don't know something doesn't mean the idea doesn't work.

Also all the modifications they do are claimed to be legally approved before one can use.
It is the vehicle owner's prerogative if he/she wants to do something that is legal. People who know more about them can comment/add further.

Their website - http://www.ojesdesigns.com/

Re: Toilet installed in a Toyota Fortuner

When using a toilet in a moving train /flying aircraft is itself a harrowing task, this guy comes up with a toilet in a fortuner. Hope he doesn't get to use it when driving on the Banglore city roads. Dread to think about the person using the toilet and the fortuner climbing on those speed breakers.

Re: Toilet installed in a Toyota Fortuner

Reading some of the comments, I thought for a moment that a regulation has been passed for mandatory toilets in cars and we are wholeheartedly opposing it .

Just watch the video and enjoy the mod done!. Appreciate his creativity .
