yeah maybe but 12k was including the doorpads. initially was given a quote of 10k for seats plus 1.7k for door pads but later they said that was for half door pads whatever that meant , but when i got delivery it was for full doorpads.

Can any of you please suggest a place in Chennai for fitting seat covers for my Chevrolet U-VA? I stay in Annanagar and will be in Chennai for 3-4 days and can spare an afternoon for the installation after measurements are taken (need the car in most other days).
Are there places with readymade seat covers already for the U-VA.
The GM dealer told me it was 3600 for soft fabric ones.
I'm sure I'll get a better deal elsewhere.

If you are at Anna Nagar, try Jeewajee which is on 2nd Avenue, a few shops away from Hotel Saravana Bhavan. I recently got my seat covers there for my car. Check out my gallery if you want.

Looks pretty good. How long did they take to do that and what was the cost. What material is it?

checked out gaylook on peters road

Hey guys...
I had posted on my thread in the initial ownership reviews that I'm planning to get interiors done for my verna crdi sx.
I stay in Royapettah, Chennai and supremebaleno had mentioned a shop called gaylook on peters road.
Took my car down to him the other day to get a quote on prices. This is what I got:
- Semi Leather Seats (Jackspeed) Rs. 4600/-
- Flooring Rs. 1500/-
- Steering wheel Rs. 250/-
- Labour Rs. 300/-
- Philips 100/90w headlamps with relay set Rs. 950/-

He did tell me that 4600 for the seats can be for both mono and dual tone.

I also checked out prices at xenos galleria at Nandanam:
- Semi Leather Seats (single colour) Rs 4500/-
- Semi Leather Seats (dual tone) Rs 5500/-
- Flooring + steering wheel Rs 2500 /-
- Labour Rs 300/-
They don't do headlamp upgrades.

By the looks of it the shop on peters road seems like the better option to me cost wise. Can anyone who has got their interiors done from either of these shops let me know if I should stick wit the peters road shop?
The chap at the hyundai showroom told me that getting flooring done might increase cabin noise. Is this true? He also told me 8k for seats at the showroom and there were only 2 choices of colours. So thats ruled out!
And if anyone can suggest colour combinations that wud go wit beige and wooden interiors do let me know!!!!

Well, the entire process took about 4-5 hours to complete. The material is art leather (PU I suppose) and is a branded one called autoform. Check their website here: AutoForm Seat Covers - Premium Automotive Seat Covers in India .

It costed me 7k inclusive of fitting charges and I have a warranty on that as well. Not sure for how many years it is though. Will check and let you know.

I had installed part leather/part PU seat cover with jeewaji a month back, and they were tight fitting ones. What they do is remove the seats from the car, put on the covers, and they also sew the threads attached to the inside of the seat covers to the existing seat to maintain the contour of the seat and give it the tight fit.

But they do punch holes with needle through the seat foam to pass the thread and tie it at the other end. But overall it gives a nice fit and finish to the seats.

I checked Jewajee. Autoform is available for 5.8K. Gsport is 4.8K. I contacted chennai distributor of Autoform and they say it cost 4K. I am visiting him on Monday to know why its cheaper.

Jewajee says he has complaints from Gsport and advised to go for Autoform. I checked Autoform finish and they were really good. And they come with a one year warranty.

The complaints on GSport is basically about the colour difference between the one on the brochure and the seat cover.
