Re: Xiaomi's Mi Tyre Inflator

This looks like a nice device that I missed earlier. This runs of charge right? Is there a provision to run it directly through cigarette lighter too, in case the device runs out of battery?

Thanks in anticipation of response.

Regards.

Re: Xiaomi's Mi Tyre Inflator

I have been using it for one year, it has auto cut off feature when set psi is reached, it has chargable battery inside, wont run from cigarette lighter.
Using to top up my bicycle, brezza, chevrolet spark, scooter and bike no problem very easy. Inflating a flat tyre will take time.

Re: Xiaomi's Mi Tyre Inflator

I have been using this since nearly 2 years now, I had bought it in prelaunch stage and got a great deal as a BETA tester at that time.
But, ultimately my inflator has now given up, and since last few days is unable to pump in any air, although the motor starts whinning, vibrates and does everything else, but pressure does not build up.
Any idea if it can be repaired?

Re: Xiaomi's Mi Tyre Inflator

My MI tyre inflator does not retain any charge, even after charging for more than 12 hours. Any idea if there is a possibility to replace the battery.

I did not need to replace the O ring since it was bent on one side, I correctly positioned it and installed back. But I will keep one in spare. It is a little difficult for the first time to open up, but can be done.

Same issue here. I was wondering how soon the battery would give up considering it takes considerable power to run an electric pump like this. Looks like MI hasn’t really designed this to last.

I tried figuring out if it is feasible to replace the battery, but that seems complicated with circuit board soldered onto the battery pack. Did not find any other suitable replacement devices, so went ahead and got the new version from MI.

How long did your battery last? I bought mine in Feb 2021 and barely 5 minutes of usage after a full charge, the orange light started flashing. This is too soon for a Li-ion to detoriorate so much.

Re: Xiaomi's Mi Tyre Inflator

Mine held 75% charge for a full year. And recently I had a 'full flat' and was hoping there would be charge, and indeed there was. Life saver this is

Re: Xiaomi's Mi Tyre Inflator

I purchased Amazon Basics Inflator with auto stop feature. It works flawlessly as of now.

It would flash orange and red while inflating, that is normal even with a full charge. You can top up about 8-10 tires to about 3 PSi before it shuts down.
