drjumbo, take care while parking to take care of your white beauty. (prompted me by seing pics 6,7 and 8) In 6th front wheel is over a kerb, in pic 7,seee how close to other vehicles and if those drivers are careless you will have it. In the 8th one also your vehicle is denied elbow room by the alto in front and the stones in the rear.
Take care.

Go to their website and contact them directly via email or phone. Both me and a friend from Bangalore have bought directly from him with no problems. (payment by bank transfer)

Prajwal, any above average Maruti mechanic must be able to do it. It comes as a kit in KBX brandname which is owned by Bosch. But it is better to ask if the mechanic has done it before. |
Thanks for that Skyline. Any idea as to how much dough I might need to be ready with for getting the KBX Brake boosters installed?
Also, where can I buy original KBX Brake Boosters in Bangalore? Any shop that is known as I do not know how to differentiate between an original and a duplicate.

I paid Rs.3000 for the kit, and an additional Rs.75 for couriering it to my hometown. While helping me search for this kit in Palakkad and Coimbatore, another BHPian mallumowgli came across a brand called Elgi. They cost less is what I heard, but my mechanic turned it down and insisted on KBX as it's the OEM part.

Thanks for that lead. I'd tried contacting them earlier thru the contact-form but didn't get a response. Mailed them again now.
Okay, the next step - alloys - where I can get good (as in reliable, strong, subtle/elegant) 12" alloys in Bangy?
Hi all.
Page through page of this thread have baan exciting to read as I own an M800 MPFi 4s myself.
I have been thinking of going in for the K&N CAI and Automech FFE for my baby. The only thing stopping me is whether there is power loss @ Low RPM. I need to consider this as quite a lot of my driving is on crowded Mumbai roads with aircon ON.
Would appreciate comments and suggestions on this idea.
Thanks in advance.
Sam

Automech website shows 2 dealers in Kerala
Kerala - Kottayam
Kurian - 94 471 69777
Kerala - Cochin
Anish - 98 470 56383
as well as BLR.
Abdul Khalick - 98 440
Aryan Play Systems - 98 860 16031
If you like my Plati alloys you can get it for 10,500/- from Car Palace Palakkad (Pirivusala), incidentally they are bringing it from BLR by bus on order, but i don't know from which shop. OR you can go to Neo wheels website and order directly.

I believe it should be available in M.A.S.S. Try to contact Mandovi & check the availability & price.

There are several shops in JC road. Roam around for a few hours and you'll get what you need. Other suburbs also have hi-end outlets like Hot Tracks etc but tend to be higher priced.
Good brands like Konig, Lenso generally start at 14" and above (folks please correct me if I'm wrong). Myself on the lookout for a good 13"

Mailed Plati last evening, and they directed me to their dealer, Car Trendz in Mission Road. Now I have to find out that place and check out the designs. Already I've shortlisted some 12 inchers from the catalog available online.
I heard about the shops in JC road too.
@Skyline GT-R
I did see them, but since I am at B'lore now, it's easy for me to pick up the ready-made stuff and go home. Then I can have it installed at Start Auto Garage or some other place.
I would like to see your alloys, then I'll decide whether to go to Pirivusala when I go to Palakkad, or get a set from here :)

PM and speak to NikhilB of Madhus tyres. He should be able to source out a good set of alloys for you as well.
About the Automech, is that an Free Flow Exhaust? How much of a performance boost does it give over stock exhaust?

Thanks for that.
Automech makes after-market exhaust systems. Mostly FFEs. For your query,
this thread has the answer.
Silversteed,
my 800s pic is posted in page 24. Close up pics are in 'show off your alloys' thread.
Star does not have tyre fitment. I do it at Hillrover BPL Jn, they stock michelins as well . Regulars get free nitrogen there. Track has more modern equipment but very crowded on all days.

I missed that pic! Was browsing from my mobile at that time, I guess
We go to Wheels on the Manjakkulam road. They don't charge us if we go there for a top-up within 3 months after filling. When I go for a long trip, I take it straight to this place, check the pressure, and resume the journey.
