Wow, that steering looks yummy. I have been planning something like that for a long time. The next time I'm hitting Bangalore, I'll be doing it.
Neat work

Thanks Jayed. The steering took well over 3 hours to be done but the end result is just fantastic and the feel is just too good. Get it done.

Cheers!!!

The options considered were-
1) Ryder leather- Basic range starts at 17k.
2) Orchids design- they basically do interior works along with seat covers, Basic range starts at 14k.
3) Autofoamindia- Range starts at 6.5k but their dealer dint give any proper response.

Sure, i will update with pics.

Hey i have faced a Bad experience with Autoform also , but i sure its called Autoform , read some where on the forum that Autofoam is an imitating brand.

cheers

Re: Art Leather Seat Covers

Got my car seat covers done yesterday. Attaching few pics of the same, not yet checked properly for any issues in stiching, fitting or any other things.

What: Art leather seat covers (PU)
From where: Pensee Leathers
Price: 6500/-
Time taken: 5.5 hours (time taken between droppin the car to their place and back home.)

Design: Got the design from internet but was not the same it had some creamish parts in few places. Called up Satish and told him i wanted the same pattern but in full black with red thread stiching.

Here are the details of other manufacturers whom i wanted to check with.

Stanley: Did not check for obvious reasons
Ovion: 9.5k
Marvin: 10.5k (told they are not having PU and told some other craps)
Ceralli: 8.3k (with free cleaning whenever you dropo ur car there)
G Sport: Called up someone called Hemant, but call got dropped after that i tried 4-5 times but no response from the no.

Re: Art Leather Seat Covers

@UKS - Cover looks good VFM. Even I did my Spark cover from him (2 years back), somehow I did not like his store location and they messed up my car interior during installation. I can see similar things in your car also. Remove those chalk marks, clean and polish the seat, it'll look great.

If it was not for you guys' review i would not have gone there at al, esp seeing their factory. I was in two minds when i saw the factory yesterday. But somehow thought of taking a chance. And yes, they did mess it up a bit, may be they could not do it more cos my car was already very dirty when i gave it there

Re: Art Leather Seat Covers

Did a lot of searching in Trivandrum to get good Seat Covers, Steering Wheel, Gear Knob, Gear Boot AND door trims done for my Honda City ZX 2006 model.

Most shops were willing to do Seat Covers but all were not willing to do the Door Trims, Gear Knob, Gear Boot and the Steering Wheel.

Since the car was 5 years old and my little son had spilt everything from Lays to Coke inside the car..everything HAD to be changed to renew the looks of the interior.

Finally after a tip from a T-Bhp member in another thread, got this done at Car Parlour, Nanthancode.

Seat Covers in Dual tone Art Leather.
Gear Knob and Gear Boot in Matching Real Leather.
Door Trims in Single colour matching Real Leather.
Total cost 10000/-

I am very happy with the work done.
Minor irritants..they fixed back the steering wheel wrong and it was rubbing against the dash part of the wheel..got it corrected by the Honda Dealer.
They also forgot to refix the switch connections of my theft alarm so that the locks activated even when the door was kept open. Corrected by Car Parlour themselves.

Enclosing some pics of the work done.
I would recommend them to anyone wanting to get their whole interior revamped.

Art Leather vs Leather seat covers for Chennai heat !

Hello All;

I am planning to put leather seat covers on my Bolero (black). I do not have covered parking, both at my house, and at my place of work.

I called up Haiton and got a quote of 35k for genuine leather. However, the guys at adamjee advise against using leather because of the heat.

Now, which one do I use ? Can anyone give some pointers on this from their experiences ?

Thanks

Shyam

Re: Art Leather Seat Covers

Shyamk,

I use autoform seat (U pass model with perforations on contact areas) covers on my Manza in Chennai and having no issues with it even though nothing like fabric when it comes to hot conditions. I do have sun films RE35 on the sides + rear and Garware ice cool shield on the front to manage the heat apart from running with A/C all the time. Art leather is easier to maintain as well.

Same query here, any suggestion/reference for good art leather seat-covers? I would like to have it for my new Fabia? Searched this thread, but no much info regarding Pune dealers.
