I am lead to believe that the low beam is 4200k and high beam is 6000k

Link to the H4 https://www.planetcarcare.com/collec...00k-6000k-pair

I hope someone tries it out on a Honda Jazz and posts about the outcome.

Don’t think that is the case as bulbs like H1 and H7 are single bulbs that work only on the beam they are plugged into. The other beam would be a separate bulb. 4200k/6000k is mentioned for these bulbs too.

Good Point @s4ch. Maybe there are two variants and they will confirm which one to ship after the order (as @Behemoth said in a previous message they call and confirm details). Pure speculation on my end . I tried digging deeper but could not find these 50W ones listed on the OSRAM website.

These are single bulbs in one colour and Both variants are available separately. You need to select which variant you need. The prices on planet car care have also been revised and last I checked it is around 6990 for H7 or H11 types. Only H4 is more expensive at 7990.
Osram is a bit slow to update content on their website so these may show up after some time.

Re: Comprehensive guide to LED Headlight upgrades

In the case of Philips the pro one is very close in watt to the base one and both are much lower compared to the OSRAM ones.

PHILIPS H4 Ultinon Essential G2 12V/24V 16W (6500K) ~ 4000 INR
https://www.amazon.in/gp/product/B08VCZKTVW/
https://boodmo.com/catalog/part-11342ue2x2-54850993/

PHILIPS H4 Ultinon Pro9000 LED Bulb 12V 18W (5800K) ~ 8000 INR
https://www.amazon.in/Philips-11342U...dp/B09LNKNX8C/
https://boodmo.com/catalog/part-11342u90cwx2-55699497/

How do these compare to the OSRAMS and to each other? If you could locate a comparison please do share.

These are quite old and low in output. The new Osram one is 50w per bulb and is much higher output.

This is the first video of these I have seen but it is in Malayalam and currently he also shows only the box. If you wait a few days he will show the effect too.

Here is another video from Osram

Re: Comprehensive guide to LED Headlight upgrades

I purchased a set of LED lights for my Nexon from Blaze India, and they sent me the NightEye brand. Although the bulb type is H7, the base with the fan is too big to fit in with the dust cover. Unfortunately, I am unable to use it. Has anyone else tried using these bulbs in a Nexon? I would greatly appreciate any advice or recommendations.

I reached out to their support email and got confirmation that these 4200K/6000K are two variants of the 50w led.

They shared this reference image. Comprehensive guide to LED Headlight upgrades-light-colors.jpg

both variants are available
---
6000K is pure white light
and 4200K comes in Neutral color light
---
and difference is 50W LED is basically total 100W (50W each bulbs) while in 25W total Wattage is 50W (25W each bulbs)
I am glad to have a 4200K option. The other options in the market are too cool In my humble opinion.

Osram 4200k 50w Hb3 & H11 Led

I bought a set of 4200K OSRAM 50W HB3 and H11 headlight replacement lights recently and below is my short brief from the driving seat when used in reflector lights of Crysta.

I have previously used in chronological order

1) Philips 2nd Gen Xtreme Ultinon 6000K HB3 (25W/light) & H11 (22W/light)
2) PIAA 4000K Hyper ARROS (20W/light) HB3 & H11
3) Eastar F5 6500K (55W/light) HB3 & H11
4) Osram 50W 4200K (50W/light) HB3 & H11

Best low beam cut off pattern H11 low beam
Philips = Eastar F5 > OSRAM >>> PIAA

Best light fill close quarters H11 low beam
Eastar F5 > Philips > Osram >>> PIAA

Best high beam throw & intensity HB3 high beam

Eastar F5 > Philips > Osram >>> PIAA

Osram is third in light output and intensity as seen by my eyes becuase althought they are 50W the 4000K warm colour temp makes it look weak. The reflection back from the road signs etc is also lower compared to the Philips and Eastar F5 which are cooler K lights.

The beam cut off of the Osram is not bad, but the border isnt as sharp as the Philips or the Eastar F5, the reason probably is because the other two has thinner LED strip compared to the Osram. But there is no glare, so they are perfectly OK.

I always wanted a set of bright 4000K/4500K LED lights for the headlights, thats why I bought PIAA 4000K, but they were not very bright. When OSRAM launched 50W 4200K finally I had a decent option to choose from. While Osram 50W is not as bright to my eyes as 55W 6500K Eastar F5, its brighter than 20W 4000K PIAA and close to the brightness of 25W 6000K Philips.

I have in storage:
Pair of Philips 6000K H11 22W
Pair of PIAA 4000K HB3 20W
Pair of Eastar F5 6500K HB3 55W
Pair of Eastar F5 6500K H11 55W

On the vehicle:
Low beam - Osram 50W 4200K H11
High beam - Osram 50W 4200K HB3
Fog light - PIAA 20W 4000K H11

I replaced all cool white interior LEDs with very bright 3000K LEDs. Next I'll replace the T10 front position lamp and T16 reverse lamp with bright 4000K LEDs and weak 3000K LED for number plate. I'm done with the 6000K and higher kelvin LEDs.

Q: So why not simply use halogens then?
A: I like LEDs.

Have done the same at home years ago when I replaced all cool white lighting with warm and natural white lights as they are more easy on the eyes. Till now the problem with 4200K headlights was they were really weak, Osram 50W solves that to a great extent.
--

If anyone wants bright between Osram 50W 4200k and 6000K it will be better to go for 6000K.
If anyone wants halogen colour but brighter headlight, then Osram 50W 4200K is a good option. But won't be as bright as 6000K!

Re: Comprehensive guide to LED Headlight upgrades

One another point I missed mentioning is that the Philips 2nd gen XtremeUltinon are unlike the current Philips 9000Pro series, especially the HB3. The 2nd gen XtremeUltinon are way brighter than the current 9000Pro series currently sold here. The 9000Pro has been superseded by the 9100Pro series now abroad. With the 9xxxPro philips seems to be concentrating on tight beam control and keeping a check on max lumens.

Could you share a picture of your installation? Where and how did you attach the External Driver (I am referring to the black box attached to the fan and bulb assembly. I might have the wrong name .)

@Others please also chime in with your installation too. Thanks
